Chill

Boss i have not seen the movie; i am only reacting to your piece. A movie is a piece of fiction- it is a writer's/director's fantasy. I dont think a movie has to be 'politically correct' and have only a 'correct' point of view. Grow up and start accepting 'uncomfortable' points of view. Chill. Its a movie. Now get ready to watch Singh is King (you might have issues with that too though!!!)

well these r some budding directors, therefore, they miss ur point...Many film critics here dont review the film from a viewers perspective. The example are this and raja sen.

involvement

its basically how much a person can identify himself with the main character which counts... it depends on the situation he has faced in his life..
I would admit that i was quite un-comfortable seeing alaipayudhe.. ( Saathiya).. when i put myself in the madhavan's/ viveks place..
It can happen to anyone and it did improve my perspective to life and do ensure that
when i see an accident i call up the nearest policestation for passing the info.. and in the mean time see if there is any possibility of that person being a known person..

So the initial person who wrote the review can be a case of identifying himself more to the situation..

What do you say!!

AMIR... thats the name of the film. If anyone is in such uncomfortable situation, it appears to him that the whole world is a part of it. One should appritiate that the film is shot from the point of view of the charecter. So it appeared to him that everyone is a part of the conspirecy.

The writer of this piece has a point. But it has to be remembered that this this is just a piece of fiction ... and the dirtector has the right to take some "artistic" liberties.

I was also disturbed with this movie ... but primarily because this made me more concious of the fact that this is undoubtedly a tough time for the moderate and educated Muslims. The protagonist in the movie certainly showed where his sympathies lie, by preferring to blow himself up rather than to harm a large bunch of innocents.
If the author of this piece was more worried about the "communities silence" .. perhaps that is what he had in his mind all along !

And Does it deserve rediff.com's ranking of being the best film of the year?????

Only pathetic media picks a bad movie as best creation.

Brilliant film

Guys,

Itis a brilliant film and fantastic work by Rajeev. If you know the reality this film was made on a very very tight and little budget.

Every scene is real including picking up chit from stinking toilet!

These kind of films must be appreciated!

The guy writing this article has nothing else to except flashing his name on rediff

the movie just stops short of brilliant. There are a lot of unanswered questions in the movie. Like, why was Aamir the chosen one to do the job? As is evident from the movie, the gang has a lot of members who do nothing but keep an eye on aamir. why can't they have been assigned the job? If it had been a suicide mission, could have assumed that the leader didn't want any gang members to die. But it was not intended to be a suicide mission. Aamir was told to escape. And why was aamir told to escape? They could easily have let him die and make the mission successful...so not so brilliant!
