You are a blind and mentally distorted psycho needing treatment ASAP. Your anger depicts your character - a dirty, good for nothing, fake character with full of malice towards mallus. Your arguements has no substance. People like you are venom in the national integrity process. Be an Indian before being something else.

Wipro & Infosys have the best talents in their management. Do not think and try to convince others that they are fools. If you try that again only you will become a fool. Do some better jobs before you visit this forum.

Come on I will traet you first.
Don't you think, mallu are the best manager.
I am part of this systems and watching everything. Don't try to impress me saying that everybody is great. Let's do fair survey and i will give up if my data wrong.

That goes w/every managing company.
Why don't you act against them, instead of coming on this discussion net.
This discussion is not abt managers.
Don't sideline any region and blame it on the whole state just because a person or company is doing wrong.

What ar u talkin about making it national?
Are u blind, first check this interview is under the movie section and it goes to every1 from all cinema.

Unfortuantely you are very ignorant and illiterate to understand and if not appreciate other cinema and their talents.

You never heard of thilakan and that doesn't make you comment in the first place on this discussion.

If you are at work and u comment on some one unknown, thats really depressing.

Now i am laughing at you.
What kind of fool chats in this discussion while they are at work?

Its not just national awards, politics are involved in.
They are involved in banning movies i.e fire, earth, water, and even author taslima.

Have you ever seen this kind in u.s.
-Da vinci code book was not banned nor the author was threatend.
-Moore's documentaries degrading u.s politics were not banned and he wasn't thrown out of the country.

This country's politics and is involved in everything, even in deciding india's selection to oscars.

Super stars dont need Awards.
by RC on Jan 26, 2008 12:43 AM

A superstar doesnt need an award to push him in the big league..but those who r not superstars would like to have an award so that it pushes them to the big league..surely the award did nothing major to amitabh..but it would have done a world of good to the people who deserved, they would have carved out a niche for themselves...the people from north are unforutnate compared to south..they cant compare...for south it means comparing apples and oranges...well any one who has the open heartedness and can compare the two guys acting skills..they can infer one is superstar and the other is super actor..and every one of those actor who performed well and didnt make it to the awards due to partisan treatment..would have a huge regret that even after doing so good they were not recognised..shame on the jury...

Thilakan - perhaps Kerala's best ever
by ebie sam on Jan 26, 2008 12:24 AM

Thilakan is perhaps the best actor Kerala has ever produced. Just look at the way he has acted in his films. Normally the roles which characterise an age above 45 or 50 seem to be similar (Just look at the repetitive mannerisms that are characterised by many actors portraying this age). And its very hard to show variety and individuality to each of them; which is different from what could be portrayed from a character of 20-35 years of age. I mean, the choices for improvisation at these higher age characters are so less. And yet, look at the different roles acted by Thilakan. When Thilakan is on screen you rarely portray "Thilakan", its the Character instead. He so easily gets into any character, and to my opinion he has shown justice to each character he has done. Superstars have the advantage that there are glamour reasons (and other reasons too) for their major success. But where glamour fades, when age wrinkles you, when the choices to improvise are limited, there has been only very few people who have shined with their sheer performance on stage. Without a doubt, Thilakan stands top on that list. Just watch some of his performances. Even his silence speaks on stage. His facial expressions tell a whole story. A great actor he is for sure; far greater than the so-called superstars of todays Malayalam filmdom. To any true lover of art, to any true appreciator of the art of acting, Thilakan is a star; a superstar. Its very hard to get an original actor like him. He is great.

Malayalies or any other cinema is not crying.
Check out the national awards and see how many did all south indian cinema contributes.

Wht abt ur eklayva and dharm fight to choose films to oscars. Aren' ther bollywood VS other north based cinema fightiing and takin it too courts more than south indy cinema.

Hollywood's oscar jury thts responsible 4 foreign films recently expressed shock tht indian take these issues to court and court decides which movies will be at oscars.
Hollywood did not even raise one voice against south indy cinema, for these kinds of nonsense.

LOL: a court deciding which movie shud go to oscars. North india learn from america.

They don't even have secretary of sports in u.s, b.c sports and goverment/politics are not related and so are movies.

When columbine documentraian spoke against prez bush and other movie stars spoke against republicans. Did the president bann the movies or exiled those people? NO

Look at india, we are even banning deepa mehta's film and taslima. There is no freedom and democracy in india, its just all so called.

-Why these days northern states are crying against taslima recieving french honorary?
-Why is bollywood going to court to decide which movies should go to oscars?
-Why is bollywood craving to be on par w/hollywood, when they are not even close to the doorstep of the quality and technicality of hollywood film?

Chandra Prakash, suddenly you started talking in Hindi. You don't know to write in English? You should discuss in English in this site because the article and all messages are in English. If you don't know English, this is not the place for you to write. Try local websites in your mother tongue. All the best!!!

Whose loss?
by SunilB on Jan 25, 2008 11:47 PM

Amitabh in Agneepath aga Perunthachan.....there is no comparison....Thilakan is such a natural actor that any roles sits lightly on him...he's right...awards are worthless when you see them being handed out like this without giving due recognition to the role and the actor's calibre and going after glamour. The loss is Indian cinema's not Thilakan's.

Actors those made Indian Cinema proud!!
by hari kumar on Jan 25, 2008 11:41 PM  | Hide replies

When you compare "Agneepath" and "Perunthachan", Thilakan's performance deserved award. That does not mean Amitabh is not a good actor. His performances were much better than "Agneepath" in most of his earlier films.

Thilakan has been blaming superstars, but Thilakan's son Shammy Thilakan has been doing some good roles with Superstars.

The reach of Amitabh Bachhan to the masses is high because Hindi is also spoken in Southern part of India, and Most South Indians see Hindi films. But South Indian languages are not spoken in Northern part of India and unfortunately North Indians cannot enjoy films that are lively and more close to real life.

Technically I have felt that Tamil films have bundle of technical talent, be it Music, cinematography, choreography, editing, stunts, audiography etc. Malayalam films are known for more realistic themes. But Tamil and Hindi films are equally welcomed in Kerala.

Unfortunately for Superstars, they have to work within a frame which will appeal to the their fans and masses alike. That puts a lot of restrictions on their performance or the script which they accept.

Let us all grow up and cheer for Amir Khan, Amitabh, Kamalahasan, Mammootty, MGR, Mithun Chakrabarty, Mohanlal,Nana Patekar, Naziruddin Shah, NT Rama Rao, Shah Rukh Khan, SV Ranga Rao, Ompuri, Thilakan, Sivaji ( I just put in Alphabetical order and not on their order of merit ). If I left out any names I apologise for that. They all made Indian Cinema prou
