I will not say all reddy's are woodheaded.,but you are. Show me a good actor in your telugu film industry other than old baffoons who even at the age of 72 sing and dance with girls of 15 years and you make them chief ministers and so on.

rajkumar i don't know on whose comments u replied there are many talented character artists apart from the "old buffoons" u refereed right from S.V.RANGARAO to kota srnivasarao know telugu film industry well and then comment.
The movie character and real life character may be different. Mammootty and Mohanlal maybe big evils in real life.like amir khan who locked his brother and try to make him mad so that he wont come and disturb his career in films. So guys, take these words of thilakan seriously.Watch the movie for entertainment..but dont make them superstars and worship idols...
Instead of whining and complaining like a sore loser at this age......... take pride in losing the award to the greatest actor India has ever produced......
Maybe you should have quoted something like - "Yes, I did lose the award to the Big B probably due to the involvement of some congress leaders, however there is no qualm in losing it to a legend who was equally good or maybe better compared to me ..... "

Greatest actor that India has produced is a bit too much. AB is a good actor no doubt but he certainly needs to work a bit more on character roles to essentially earn that title. Greatest actor marketed by India would be more apt

Mr.dalal and some others here needs a bit of lessons on india. first learn the number of states that make the indian nation. Do try to atleast pronounce the southern names properly. Do humbly accept the fact that this nations wealth in terms of knowledge, culture, technology, healthcare, IT and Industry to name a few come from these Southern states. You guys add on to the burden of the nation with caste wars, communalism, underworld (which incidentally finances your SRk, bachan and almost everyones movies), corruption, illiteracy, and mindless politics. No wonder you dont know about thilakan or other stars of filmdom,or for that matter any industry or section of the southern states. pity you all living in a world so small with megalomaniacs like bachan, srk, salman, and of course your very own "lovable"!! badmash sanjay dutt. we forgive your lack of knowledge in these issues and only hope all the effort we in southern states take to develop this nation into a great one dont get messed up by characters up there who are prisoners of their ignorance. get the picture right boy.

Its very sad to see how people are fighting over north VS South.Does India exist if we leave one part. The comments started with movies and acting and went towards regional biases. Its really sad and tomorrow as its republic day, I am ashamed to read articles like this.Try to be a true Indian. Its a request.

Big B is a commercial actor and Vijayan have acted lot of GOOD FILMS..

Thilakan - never heard this name b4. still confused about south cine-industry. lots of differnces among southies itself. few have rajni(dont know actor or actress), few like Madan Lal and hew have chiranjeevi as fav. Very confusing.

Southy sucks. You ar unfortuntely uneducated. Chiranjeevi is from telugu film indsustry. Rajinikanth is from tamil film industry. Mohanlal(not madan lal) is from malayalam film industry, and so is great actor Thilakan.
These actors are from their own language based and films and have fan following not only from their own film fans i.e tamil, malayalam, telugu but from all over who watches tamil, malayalam, and telugu cinemas.
There are no differences, malayalam and tamil almost sound the same and telugu-tamil sound the same too.
All these actors have acted in other language films.

abe dalal! dalali bandh kar aur sun... forget madrasi's there are actors better than amitabh in bollywood itself.. Amitabh is a commercial actor who has done a few roles exceptionally. Agneepath was one of his worst acted movies.. it was no surprise that was the biggest flop of that year. He deserved nothing for that movie. and for your information most successful bollywood movies are shamelessly copied from their superior equivalents from Bengali, Southie and hollywood films.

Mr. dalal. There is more to madrasis than lungi. Lunji is only a fabric that men wear, their brains and heart don't lie in the lungi. First get over the fact that south india is only about lungis.

RE:Take Pride Mr. Thilakan
by Rahul Sidharthan on Jan 25, 2008 10:26 PM
Unfortunately Mr Dalal the so called sane and relevant half of India still believes that a girl child is a sin and that boys like you (even though they may be the scum of the earth) are better. They forget the fact that they are invaders in this great nation that traditionally belonged to the original Indians, the dravidians. Of course Mr Dalal doesnt bother to read up his political science and geography (if he can read that is), so there is absolutely no point arguing with a baalti!
RE:RE:Take Pride Mr. Thilakan
by Nav on Jan 25, 2008 10:31 PM
You are partly right. but to think of Bihar, MP, UP etc. as sane and relevant is insane!!Take a reality check... the north is getting food because of Southern states, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

I don't know Mr. Vijayan but if Amitabh's film are commercially successful, that doesn't mean he is not a good actor. In fact, a great actor whose projects are commercially viable is always better than anybody who has acted in 'GOOD' films.

say whatever u guys can.... ur blabbering will not take away even 1 inch from the fact that Big B is officially the "Actor of the Millenium" while all your Southie stars can do is have their FILTER COFFEE WITH IDLI SAAAR....... and whine and get jealous with him.
Even when the Big B catches cold, India starts praying. Yet to see that....... for a southie or a dravidian....
RE:RE:Take Pride Mr. Thilakan
by Brady on Jan 26, 2008 12:28 AM
Mr.dalal This shows you are ignorant to not know anything from a part in india. You only know south as filter coffee, idli, etc.. Grow up, its just food. So is it w/u northies w/chappati,jamuns, and song-dance films.
If big b catches cold, u start prayin for him and his fans do. Do u have any proof that the whole of india is praying for him As usual, u only read abt news whethr big b is sick or not and not read abt the news of whole india. This is just media feeding children like you.
I am a fan of rajinikanth, kamal hassan, and mohanlal. I don't pray for them, since i don't know them personally or don't know when they get sick or not. There are no media tht bothers abt that in south, since they have better job to cover news aside from an actor's cold.

the language ram dalal and southysucks are using about their fellow Indians who come from a region different form their region is unacceptable and astonishing to say the least.U can differ but be decent. Now we are getting to know how much obsessive hatred u have towards us the southern people. It is deeply saddening. Hey 'tamil'..your assumption is 'commercial' movies are not 'good' movies. False! Don't you remember movies like Anand, Sholay, Deewar, Ek Duje Ke liye which are both good and commercially hit. By the way Agneepath was not a commercially hit movie. Also nobody is saying Thilakan was a bad actor. But will being biased against Bachchan take away all the awards(and there are many other than that national award) from him. And do you really think crying foul and whinning suits somebody like Thilakan?? cheers
I remember as a child when Tilakan lost the award to Amitabh Bachan the National awards. Amitabh got this award for Agnipath which proved the existence of a patron client relationship when any national awards are announced.
Thilakan that time mentioned that awards are like butterflies so i think he should maintain the stand that these politically and network based awards are not butterflies but termites.
Hi mallus ! As Tilakan rightly told please learn from Tamil to encourage new talented actors instead of suppressing others with your usual crookedness and backstabbing qualities. Within mallus if you do this one can imagine what they will do for non-mallus ? Oh my God ! TN is far better where anyone from anywhere can come and prove !
RE:Shocking !
by Devyani Anantharaman on Jan 25, 2008 09:14 PM
Yes, the Tamil industry is one where if there are a few semi nude girls dancing around in the snow, the movie is a hit. Hence, any new hero will have a hit provided there's a sexy number in the movie. I agree with you Mr. Durai... LOL
Vettukuzhi Thilakan is a genius. No doubt. But his claim is highly ridiculous. Probably emotions are running high. All are great actors in their own dimensions, one as an action hero; the other emotional; thiird satirical,....so on. None can accept Thilakan as a hero comparable to M&M. What ever it is, Mollywood is also succmbing to politics. Poor Thilakan should realise that North wields highest power and always negates south. A handful like Maniratnam survive against counter current. As is said by many of our educated Mallus, thilakan is unique in his own way. It is tragedy, that he presumes he was competing with M&M. At lease his age should enlighten him and at 72 atleast, he should know that he is a beacon and not a circus search-light.
RE:Never compare with M&M, Mr. Thilakanji
by Jeevan on Jan 25, 2008 09:09 PM
Other way M&M should give due respect to his age. Kiridam, Spadikam Thilakans roles is in par or above mohanlals performance. Lal thilakan used to be a very good combination. It is all spoiled due their ego. Thilakan also carries a big ego so it make difficult to adjust with him.
RE:Oh man what a pain!
by ramen das on Jan 25, 2008 09:13 PM
its not true in case of indian national awards... i'm not sayin Big B is a bad actor...but Agnipath was a very ordinary movie and that was not a role worthy of awards... its all politics
