Absurd review

I have listened to this music and it is a gem of an album. Even though it is rehash of maestro's old tunes, it sounds so fresh. This lady got no idea what good music is. Go an hear all the crap thrashed out by rahman

Guys please understand that IR was requested to remix his old gems by the director and he did want to create fresh tunes...here is the article.

Sonia,
I never knew someone can write articles being a deaf.WOW thats good news.why does rediff allow substandard people to write articles like this.Guess she is fit to only write articles on Bollywood music which has strong plagiarism in it from English, punjabi and south indian films.Hope this one is your last post on MUSIC.MUSIC is good but you are SICK.

What's wrong with reviewers these days. It seems like most are hell bent on saying what is wrong with a movie or a music album.

Cheeni Kum is basically a collection of Illayaraja's golden oldies and they sound much better than most of the original stuff that is being thrashed out by new generation music directors.

The title song 'Cheeni Kum' is a remix of a popular Tamil song 'Manram Vandha Thendraluku'.

The songs sound fresh and nice because of their simplicity.

Dear Rediff People!
Please check the reviews you post!
The songs are really good!
Illayaraja is good as always!
Yeah they are monotonous to some extent yet they are wonderful!!!
DON"T make such a statement that Illayaraja's composition in this film is not good!
All the singers sang well and the lyrics are also good!
Wishes,
Mythili Kiran

Yup...right. I was surprised to hear this tone in a Hindi movie. Ilayaraja compose this same tune for the Kannada Movie "Geetha" way back in 1980's and the song was "Jothe Joteyali". Maybe he lacked enough inspiration for new tunes, so he got one of his olden goldies into the bollywood :))
