Aamir and Srk, both are great actors. Both are masters of their craft but somewhere I feel that Aamir has not got his due. He should be more popular than he actually is. Like Srk He too should make more public appearances and all those. In fact he is no less than Srk although personally Srk is my favourite. But really Aamir should be at a more highlighted stage than he actually is. Great going both of you.

I completely agree with you. These two along with Akshay are the only saleable stars we possess. We really need a movie featuring these two. Anyone can put his money for that movie.

they have already done a film together..its called Pehla Nasha and was directed by Ashutosh gowarikar..goto IMDB.com and search with the name of above mentioned film and then look into cast and crew details..u will know what i mean.. ;)

That was just a one scene special appearance when the two actors appear at an awards function in the film Pehla Nasha.Aamir and Salman made a great comedy pair in Andaz Apna Apna.I have an idea-let me kmow if others find this idea interesting. Remember the Hollywood movie 'Three Amigos' about 3 small time cowboy movie actors? It was absolutely hilarious.I wish some entrprising screenwriter[with a terrific sense of humour] writes a script for our own amigos Aamir,SRK and Salman! Now that would make one terrific comic caper.

i dont know about three amigos i think they are a little too old for a film like that, although, i would like to see them in a remake of Micheal Mann's "HEAT", where SRK plays Robert De Niro, Amir Plays Al Pacino and Salman Plays Val Kilmar (this role may be re written to increase the screen time) and Ravi Kishan plays Tom Seizmore's Character..and icing on the cake would be if Anurag Kashyap Directs it.
Both shahrukh and aamir have been ruling India for the last 15 years. both are versatile and have different style. there is healthy competition between the top two actors of bollywood which is good for industry.i live in dubai and can see their films are most eagerly awaited by public here. ican say out of 10, 6 for aamir and 4 for srk

SRK and AAMIR ruling India film industry for the last 15 years ??.. haha..thatz a big joke..they must be ruling the hindi film industry..nothing more..can you tell me, have they won any national awards for best actor or even in best supporting actor category in the national level ?. Yup, they would have won..but only on those soapy, FIXED to the core filmfare awards..that is where it stops..that is what hindi movie has always been..lions in the hindi heartland, but a big zero elsewhere..and now dont start a south-north war..cos i am not a southie to begin with.

SRK and AMIR have much wider reach. Once I met an old woman in desered train station in Germany and she knew SRK!!! Amir did won sepcial jury National Award for his performance in Raakh.

To Deepak: There is no doubt that Aamir and SRK have been major players in the Hindi film industry for over 15 years. It is not a joke but the truth, since Hindi films do have the widest reach as compared to the rest of Indian cinema.Don't belittle their contributions.Remember that it was the Aamir produced and enacted Lagaan that got India its 3rd Oscar [foreign film category] nomination.Lagaan also won a National film award[I think for wholesome entertainment].Aamir has also won special mentions at the National award. And what about the recent BAFTA nomination for RDB? As for SRK,the man has won innumerable Indian film awards, plus is hugely popular world wide, and not just among Indians.Nobody is comparing these two stars to South Indian actors, but do not make light of their achievements.

I love Srk and Amir both and I really want to see both of them with strong performances and justified roles for each of them. Any attempt to give better role to one of them will make movie disaster coz ppl expect lot from both of them.

there is nothing wrong in having sambar dosa while sitting on Jameen. Are you from America. Learn and respect your culture before commenting on your own country. South is also part of India and be proud to be an Indian and stop commenting for such diminutive issues. We are all indians first. North, South, East West we should be proud, we all are one and belong to one race that is human race.

u mean being a south indian is such a mean thing? have some sense a dont post just for the heck of it.
i think aamir is one of the most overrated actors we have in the industry. no doubt he is good but there are so many other good actors at par with him. no big shakes in aamir. some of his roles have been memorable but i beleive he has been overhyped, may be bacause of he keeps himself at arm's length from the media...its like the more inaccessible, the more demanded.

like repetative sharukh khan...doesn't matter whom he's playing all he does is act like sharukh khan.....or the deadpan Ajay Devgan....Or the so called great actor Hritik Roshan winning awards for a stunt laden role ( dhoom 2) with zero acting. Atleast Amir Khan tries to do different stuff rather than remaking or aping others.
RE:RE:my views
by Anand Banergee on Mar 23, 2007 01:57 AM
Aamir is truly a great actor followed by salman and SRK.
SRK overacts and does same kind of movies, I am just tired of his acting.
Hrithik Roshan should stop doing his dads movies, some of the good movies he acted were Mission Kashmir, lakshya (eventhough the movies were not big hit like krish). Rakesh roshan should stop copying super hit english movies koi mil gaya and krish.. what a bore. why not see the english movie directly and avoid the masala completly.
I m a big fan of Aamir from childhood. All know that he has a unique combination of smartness, talent & &&&&& no words to express my feelings! really he is a amazing actor of our film industry
RE:....unique story.....
by Apexa shah on Apr 22, 2007 01:12 PM
And Aamir khan helped to make that road... The name of road is Quality Cinema for India.
Aamir has been a very consistent "hit" giving actor. We all will agree. He also acts in few films and thats where we wait for his next move. He also kind of "stays away" from medias and award functions. This guy should be a "monk" of Indian film industry. There is hardly anybody doing what he does

shake abdul dayan, your name is interesting. Does your father have a cheeku and milk shake parlour?? was just wondering what a name like shake abdul means to a common man
Look at the commercial Coca. Now ur eligible for pensation not for Remuneration. Living legend like Big B is exceptional, still he is getting his salary not pensation, that the difference between Big and rest of all actors.

by Ahmed Basravi on Mar 16, 2007 05:45 PM
Big B is not exceptional hardly few people understand his acting,he acting is same everytime (do watch it very carefully) same bold Dialogues and deep thinking face, its not going to work for every film nor it is the funda for serious and good acting, tell me except from Ankhe and black from his recent release where he had done something different ? i think Amrish puri had something different skills from ur so called BIG B, he had a variety in his acting, no doubt he(BIG B) has good body language and timing but thats make any one a superstar,he rouse to fame from KBC before that he was a flop cck it,actually according to me Indian audience is not matured in terms of movies have a look at west then u wil have a brief idea..........and 1 more thing its in indain origin to criticise anyone rather than appreciating and dragging irrelevent topic in middle of someother Subject......u seems to be a big fan of BIG B but thts is not a licence to criticise anyone and promoting ur love ones

you are right Ahmed Bhai , India Audience are not matured . Thats why they made Big picture for sharukh in Ceinefield..... They even comparing him with many talented actors like Amitab even he doesnt deserved to.... When these Indians will gt matured....When they will find truth

In the new Coca cola commercial, Aamir is SUPPOSED to be an older person than he is - -he plays a 50ish hair-oiled and greying train attendant. He has the guts to play an older character and tell a story even in an ad;whereas Akshay Kumar in a thums up ad [ also released recently] plays the usual cool dude doing stunt jumping. The coke ad is actually better because it shows people of all age groups enjoying a soft drink;it is not just aimed at young people.I appreciate Aamir for doing things differently, even in his ads. In real life he looks fine as seen in recent photos[the Titan Aviator watch launch--Aamir in t shirt, leather jacket and jeans].
