Sivaji (Rajnikant) is an NRI millionaire with an ambition of starting a hospital-cum-medical college for providing free education and medical help to the poor people in India. His ambition is foiled by a local kingpin (Suman). Sivaji gets questioned by the authorities and dragged onto the street because of the ruthless political system. That is when he realizes that a state like AP/TN has around 46,000 crores as black money. He collects data and robs the black money from rich people and sends the money to USA through hawala route to get it distributed into small denominations by his NRI friends. The same amount is routed back to India in the form of donations to the charity foundation run by Sivaji. There by he virtually runs an alternate government by using the black money, helps the poor and develops infrastructure. However, the CBI is hell bent on getting evidence to arrest him for his economic violations. The rest of the story is all about how he evades the cops, eliminates the kingpin and continues serving the society.

saw both sivaji rocks, while Jhoom is so bad only a retard can appreciate the mess. AB Jr is terrible so is preity. Lara and Bobby are kind of OK. No blame on Big B since he is there in a Sp. Appearance , although his outfit is ...hilarious(cough, cough) It's really bad trust me. Sivaji was gripping from the opening with the second half being far better than the first. rajni fans will love the references to his earlier films and the homage to Sivaji ganesan, mgr and kamal is priceless. I hear in telugu version he does it as ANR, NTR and Chiranjeevi has anyone seen it? Do Not miss this movie, it's Coooool!

Thats unbelievable... Sivaji is the no. 1 grosser when it comes to per screen average in UK. nee nadathu thalaiva... thalaivan solran intha thambi mudikkaran
Sivaji rocks 75.45 crores profit up to till date.housefull shows continues in all 2900 theatres worldwide.Expect the movie would cross 450 crores in another 3 months...going to be mega mega blockbuster movie in this universe...hip hip hurray...sivaji..THE BOSS Rajini rocks...besure to watch this movie to be one among in this world record...
Forget all the hype surrounding this so called Superstar monkeys guys! Just watch the awesome movie called 'Mungaru male' a Kannada(Sandalhood) movie which has created history by running to 175 days(25 weeks) till now with almost all shows (5/4 per day) house full at PVR multiplex and other 60 locations. Also running to packed houses in London,Newyork,San jose,Detroit ,Melbourne etc.
No indian movie has ever run more than 5 weeks in a expensive multiplex like PVR. An estimated 25 lac people have watched this movie in Bangalore alone.More than 10,000 housefull shows are shown till now in Bangalore.
This movie along with one more Kannada movie 'Duniya' (100 days in PVR till now) has grossed around 70 crores till now and still going on. Remake rights sold to massive sums to telgu, tamil and bollywood film industries.
The production cost of this two movies is around 1 crore each and there are no superstars in these movies just ordinary artists.
You dont need overhyped superstars to produce Superduper hits like these two films, just make movies with storyline closer to reality and down to earth so that movie goers can relate themselves to. No monkey gimmicks or meaningless glamour please.

I can definitely excuse him. After all Kannada people never had a super star after/before great Dr. Raj. They are happy with remaking every junk movie. God bless Mr. Nateshan!

Shivaji is a remake of Chirageeve starrer 'Tagore' and has fight sequences lifted from the english movie 'Martix'. Rajani's Chandramuki ,the biggest tamil grosser is the remake of Kanada/Malayalam movie 'Aptamitra' and moreover rajani has recently bought the remake rights of Kannada classique movie 'Duniya' for a whooping sum.

Some aliens are comparing Sivaji with JBJ without thinking. Some clever fools are posting the link about the US and UK box office report of Sivaji and JBJ. In US and UK JBJ is ahead of Sivaji. Then what about the JBJ box office report in the following areas: 1.Japan 2.Malasyia 3.Singapore 4.Bahrain 5.Sri Lanka
If JBJ beats Sivaji in any two of the coutries, then we all agree that JBJ is better than Sivaji. If not shut up and watch the blockbuster movie SIVAJIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
