Whether the heroine is given significant roles or not, it has always been a fact that Bollywood products are entirely tailor made for below average intellects. This of course is true for the cinema of many other languages also but Bollywood is particularly conspicuous in that it has been completely in the grip of commercialism that targets duds. Add to that the hype of monstrous and mind numbing proportions (understandably not so mind numbing for the intellectually impaired masses of north India) that accompanies the Hindi cinema world and the picture of a gigantically overestimated product of 'art' is complete.

YOU SAID IT!!!!!. That is excatly the matter with Bollywood. It is made mostly for illiterate and semi-literate masses of north india and outside india (yes, the punjabi population in US/Canada etc).
Sorry, women are ruling the roost in India, and there is so much that women can do these days, honestly I am fed up of seeing our action heros and our chocolate heroes, they repeat the unbelivable again and again, so many times, it looks more like a cartoon show nowadays. Its time good women oriented films are made, we not seen many days.
I think Bollywood heroines think themselves too heavy in Bollywood circle there by keeping less room to strive to improve themselves. Only body show will not help our heroines to attract our 100 crores of Indian on lookers but they must have a sense and taste of real Indian women hood and thus they can certainly be apple of the eyes of millions. Remember a real daughter of the country cannot be neglected unless they deserve so for their own cause.

This is a truly miopic view. There is no relation with acting and highr age. If you want to see heroienes as only "sex object" than u r true. In hollywood most of the great actresses are older. Here, in Hindi Film Industry we have plenty of examples, when the acting power increases with age.

and how many heros are there in their 20s? All are 40 plus! men and their disgusting attitudes!!
Yes,Actually the main problem is,most of the heroines existing in the bollywood are 30plus.There are n't any heroines in the mid 20's or even less than 20's.
This one is worth pondering and spreading. Read on...
Star versus 'Star'
On Tuesday a news swept across all the news channels 'Sanjay Datt relieved by the court'. 'Sirf Munna Not a bhai' '13 saal ka vanvaas khatam' 'alhough found guilty for possession of armory, Sanjay can breath sigh of relief as all the TADA charges against him are withdrawn'
And then many experts like Salman khan saying 'He is a good person. We knew he will come out clean' Mr. Big B 'Datt family and our family have relations for years he's a good kid. He is like elder brother to abhishek'. His sister priya Datt 'we can sleep well tonight?it's a great relief'
In other news, Parliament was mad at Indian team for performing bad; Greg chapel said something ?..; Bomb scare in gorakhpoor express; and Shah Rukh Khan replaces Big B in KBC and Sonia asked PM to consider reducing petroleum prices (I wonder who's the PM ?anyways that is not the topic so leave it?) But most of the emphasis was given on Sanjay Datt's "phoenix like" comeback from the ashes of terrorist charges.
Surfing through the channels, one news on BBC startled me, it read, Hisbul Mujahidin's Most wanted terrorist 'Sohel Fa
