I saw it y,day and found it just stunning and beautiful, hats off to the legendary Amitabh once again and sure this performance will get Amitabh A Filmfare award for sure......
i ve seen the movie y , day and truly it was a spectacular performance by mr bachhan and grear cinematography ofcourse innovative ideas of mr chopra but sadly to see review of these on tv by some of so called critics ,, this is best performace by mr amitabh far better than black long live the performer
I was there at the screening of Eklavya.. n all i have to say is that Eklavya is a totally boring movie! one might say %u201Cits for classes%u2026 I loved Schindler%u2019s list, 3-deewarein, black, schindler%u2019s list, cast away n many other movies which were termed as d movies for classes! But this one has absolutely nothing to offer! If u looking for entertainment..its just 1% (sanjay dutt%u2019s role) of d movie. N if u looking for some serious movie%u2026 u gonna love it if u jus wanna hear so-called heavy %u201Crepeated%u201D dilogues and over acting by d greats like Amitabh Bachchan and Boman Irani (I m a big fan of both!) but d time is gone where ppl wr used to love d movie because of favourite stars! And I don feel bad or shame in calling this movie a big TRASH! After all I have paid for my ticket! Cud I get my money back Mr.Vidhu Chopra??? N yea%u2026. A few bucks extra for my asprins too!

Good review! I am not a fan of Raja Sen's review but i liked this one. Another good review I read was at http://www.moviewalah.com, which begins with: Dharma (Duty) is not what others decide for you, it is what your heart and mind guide you to do! Vidhu Vinod Chopra has based his Eklavya on this philosophy. Unlike Eklavya of Mahabharata, who had presented his right hand thumb as a Guru-Dakshina to Dronacharya, this modern-day Eklavya when faced with a similar situation, chooses the path of his heart rather than what the world expects of him.
I suggest the reviewers should classify the stars based on viewer category. E.g. Below 13 Years, Between 13 and 20 Years, 20 Somethings, Rest (Remember Children are real human beings with real needs and real lives), Wonder why most people keep ignoring their presence. Child Discrimination!!

I completely agree with Hatim. useless crap. Being a big fan of big B,I think he did two worst movies 1. BOOM and 2. Ekalavya. I remembered watching doom while watching ekalavya. Its very pathetic movie.
it started with a review and continuing with race, religion ,anatomy(bowels,cerebrum etc),philosophy(what more can you expect from a bolly wood movie?,language and what not. can we stop for a moment and mention the most liked film........i feel it should be perceptional and not judgemental(of course reviews are an exception) personally i liked thoda saa rumaani ho jayee(i think we should leave the debate whether original or not.......it leads us nowhere,what we want is a list of MUST AND NOT TO BE MISSED MOVIES. SO THODA SAA RUHMAANI HO JAAYE SURAJ KA SAATHWA GHODA MAYA BAZAAR(OLD TELUGU) DEVADAS(TElugu version OF ANR and that ofKLSEHGAL) PYAASA(GURUDUTT) JEWEL THIEF(FOR THE SUSPENSE) PAATHALA BHAIRAVI(TELUGU) ROMAN HOLIDAY(ENGLISH)
