Every thing begins and has to end........
by achu asha on Feb 19, 2007 01:25 PM

Well begun is definitely half done, but then who takes care of the end. I liked the movie, excellent in terms every aspect except the climax which makes the whole watch time not a waste. but it still hurts.....

I read the reviews of Eklavya through every possible media, and not one gave it less than three starts then how come half the public in the theatre were crying due to the movies torture and half the public laughing due to the serious dialogues which we turning out silly at every point?
The movie had a good plot but sadly it was destroyed by the direction, About the main theme of the movie Dharma ,Mr Vidhu Vinod Chopra is simply preaching do what your heart says ,do what your mind says, that%u2019s Dharma ,but in the movie what it turns out is, whatever you feel is right for you is Dharma ,irrespective of it is harming someone or not ,it is ethical or not. ?
And honestly the movie drags, the story is not in flow at all, the only drama in the movie is in the last half an hour, whatever it may be.

Jaadu Hai.. Rolls Royce ki Jaadu!
by Vasishta Dasika on Feb 19, 2007 12:00 PM  | Hide replies

I always believed that there can be only two kind of movies- good or bad. But honestly, Ekalavya falls some where between good and bad. Said that, I think the Rolls Royce did all the magic :) to bring the crowd to the movie halls.

TO:Vasishta Dasika
YOU PEOPLE ARE SO USED TO EATING MASALA FOOD-WHEN REAL FOOD IS SERVED YOU CANNOT ENJOY IT. you are so used to watching masala movies-which may not have a good story only masala- you can not appreciate when a good movie arrives.

Also, AB did not take a Rolls Royce- after hearing the story of this movie AB decided to do this movie free of cost that's why Vinod presented him Rolls Royce which also AB returned.

A dead-slow movie
by romeo midhun on Feb 19, 2007 11:48 AM

This is a dead-slow movie, and the song 'chandare chandare' is just apt to this slowness. The only thing that was running fast was the train! If the story was told much faster, I think it would have been much better. But the script is good, not much confusing as the present day masala movies, ofcourse.

not worth of 4 stars
by shruti parkhi on Feb 19, 2007 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

I did not find this movie so great as compared to the way media is putting down the view. The movie even does not have a strong theme. If its just Amitabhji's performace to be watched in the movie, then i think he has performed even well in quite a lot movies earlier.
