I have seen the movie - and it is really very good - only if you have a test for good movies. I have seen the reactions of people in the hall - all youngsters - and the people writing comments here seems mostly youngsters. Though they have different perception / need from movies, they also need to apply themselves to understand such movies - they simply need a better appreciation of movies.
Ekalavya is good for sets and cinematography, and Saif.For the rest,it is a waste of time.It is NOT, as Vidhu Vinod Chopra's been claiming Amitabh's best role--that would be Black followed by Sholay,anyway a subject issue, but for Saif it is one more good role, after Parineeta and Omkara.For the rest, it is just another film.

what happened to your reviewers guys..is this a paid review or pr exercise! "a flawed masterpiece is still a masterpiece". dont use the words so loosely Raja Bhai, the visitors at this page are hard earned by this site, not by your weird , loose wordplay.as your last paragraph of disjointed mumbling proves, you need a break.
I amazed at the effort of the writer of this article. I had a really hard time viewing Eklavya. All the film has, is fancy cinematography. The story, a righteous man's struggle between right and wrong, is nothing from the ordinary. The script tries to meddle in social issues without anyway linking it to the main storyline. The characters are not at all well developed, with Vidya being absoultely wasted. The same fate befalls Sanjay Dutt but he is the only relief in whatever little screen time he gets. The screenplay is flawed in tune with the script and doesnt delivers the mystry part. Most actors and the director deliver, but they fail to arouse interest in the small 1 or 2 twists that the story provides. The only song is a lullaby and would really put anyone to sleep. A masterpiece is not something which has to be obtruse, but it should be the result of profund thinking,intense imagination and accurate execution of the same. The film fails on all of these accounts. The verdict "Easily avoidable!"

ppl like u dont hv to show ur intellectual levels , which off course you dont have. Read what i have written, bad movie that's it. did i mention AB or anyone else.
We took the tickets advance which is quite expensive and the movie was horrible horrible horrible.. pls if some planning to watch ti "do not" watch the movie. There is nothing in the movie other that good colorful palace. First half is boring and there is nothing else other than two people dying,, and a lullaby song which made us sleep ... I don%u2019t know why they were lighting candles in the palace when this story looks like is happing not before independence ,, pls directory don%u2019t every fool us with such kind of stupid movies,,,, our weekend began with a horror...I don%u2019t know who gave this movie 4 starts
different people different opinions,, to watch a movie i belive there shud be a definet appeal for it..as per the trailor of the movie i dont know wats appealing in it..no good songs, an old man between sand dunes, throwing knives ...means even a 2 min trailor cant be watched twice..so there is defently no appeal to watch the movie..and in a week or so trade verdict will be out and im sure it will turn out to be a pretty average movie...means not so good not so bad
