When I saw this movie, I felt there is only one great Actor in this Century. Yes That is Amitabh. Sharukh, You have to learn for another decay to match up with Amitji.

i agree- time to stop this amitabh or srk great debate. they belong to same generations but the genre of roles are different. compare an aamir and makes sense.

SRK is trying to create the impression of an epic dual between the aging thespian and a young, powerful challenger. He wants his brashness and arrogance to be mistaken for (over)confidence. The thespian knows this and is indirectly encouraging him to get encaged in the same image that he himself wants to portray.
I went with the intention of loving the film - and was so disappointed! AB rocks, no doubt but the role is so bad man.. To hell with people who praise the camera angles and cinematography and all that nonsense. I am public - and I want entertainment. And sorry to say, Eklavya does not entertain. Agreed, its a serious film. Even Black was serious, so was Mission Kashmir, so were so many others. Serious films can be entertaining too..
And Eklavya is far from entertaining. For God's sake, it has dialogues like "Nahii!! Ruk jaao! Yeh mera dharam hai, mujhe nibhaane do!"
People keep dying in the film, for no rhyme or reason. God knows who is killing whom and why. Sickening! No one even smiles in the film, as if there is tax levied on smiling! :(
There are only three good things about the film:
1) Mr. Bachchan - whose eyes speak more than a thousand words and he has given a terrific performance
2) Sanjay Dutt - who has the best lines and relieves the poor viewer with a few smiles
3) It is only 1 hour 45 minutes long!
Do yourself a favor - save some money and skip this sob story

How can you be sure other people's brain are same as you. I understood the movie and understood who is killing whom and why? Any questions you need to clarify? If you want to see people smiling and killing you should go for some psycho movies.

who cares about raja sen? he used to blindly support srk at one time and curse all Big b movies. I guess he is just fade up of srk movies and just trying to be good to Big B fans. But we really do not care. Eklavya is fantastic. I shoudl have given 6 stars.

Oh shut up u Anwar! U will support anything that has Bachchan in it.. U get a commission from him or wot? Even if he romances a girl young enough to be his grand daughter in Nishabd! All ur comments are so unintelligent that it is embarassing to even reply to your scraps. There is no need to drag SRK into this - how is SRK connected to Eklavya? You talk about SRK more than even his fans! U seem more obsessed with Superstar Shah Rukh Khan.. And in case u have eyes then read clearly - I found nothing wrong with Bachchan - I hated the film. I am a Bachchan fan myself but that does not mean I need to like all the trash he works in.. Lal Badshaah, Toofan and Jaadugar were bad even though they had Big B. So?? Eklavya is bad becoz its story is bad. It is centered around a weak theme of Boman not being able to father a child. How lame is that?? !! SILLY IN CAPITALS! And this is MY opnion - I dont need approval from stupid people like u!
Your mind is a one-track mind - support anything that has Big B, trash everything else. Talking to you demeans my status.

DREAM HAS NO DREAMS HES A NIGHTMARE
Eklavya Scores well on cinematography and direction. The locales are too good..
But the story is really really stretched... You can literally feel the second half drag by.
In fact the role did not demand the presence of Amitabh Bachchan. For the first 20 mins in the movie the only acting he did was bowing respectfully to his "Rana".
Honestly i think the reviewer has grossly over-rated the movie.. It does not deserve more than 2.5/5
It was truly revealing performance from the legendery Sh. Amitabh Bacchan...I thought that Guru and Eklavya will fight for the best performacne awards next year....
Eklavya a masterpeice of Vidhu after Mission Kashmir...and truly award winning performance from Amitabh Bacchan..must see for anyone who love good movies...
