Suddhajit Sen
Poor review
by Suddhajit Sen on Feb 10, 2007 04:47 PM  | Hide replies

I haven't seen the movie but I am pretty much sure it can't be worser than this review! With all due respect to the reviwer he/she has absolutely no sense of cinema and unfortunately no sense of the English language itself. Rudeness shown towards Rajpal Yadav is uncalled for and moreover the rude comments about Asgar Ali's background is unpardonable.

What does you mean that "who will go to watch Rajpal...".
He is also a good actor& an impressive person also. If any movie is having a good & real story it doesnt need any glamrous face. The review given by the critic is may what true but it is not 100% right. people are also ready to watch rajpal yadav also.

Is this a Review?
by on Feb 10, 2007 02:07 PM

The way the reviewer writes the plot and writes off Yadav, its definitely a writing of a first timer, if not, seems so. Maybe the reviewer was busy shopping for valentine's and had his/her (?) friend write this out??? ;). Whatever it was, its not a review. Street folk speak in this pattern to describe a movie. A lot remains to deserved from the reviewer, NOT Rajpal Yadav!

the undertrial
by ponnuswamy natarajan on Feb 10, 2007 01:13 PM

The review seems to be done by a amatuer and non-professional.The guy has taken cheap digs at rajpal yadav saying that nobody will go to see him as he is non-glamorous,has no following, non-dramatic ,non effective etc ...etc...Rediff has editors to watch out visiors writing abusive material on your site, but what about your own own people, who seem to be insensitive.I demand the immediate removal of this article.

Review of the review
by suyog pandit on Feb 10, 2007 11:27 AM

This review is kiddish, like a child from 5th std.would write in some competition. The description is like an essay and the way Patcy has written the conclusion "overall my conclusion is..." shows the level of her cinematic sense and if everything in the film is not up to the mark,as claimed by Patcy then why the hell you gave 3 star rating??? only cos it's realistic topic!!! The reviewer has no understanding of cinema. Is it not possible that a masala film also can be a masterpiece??

Dangers of making a movie on real life incidents
by Ashutosh Singh on Feb 10, 2007 10:13 AM

I have not seen the movie myself, but I believe that if you are narrating a real life incident you are actually walking on a razor blade. These movies are all about making impact and clearly the movie failed to impress the reviewer. Though candor would have helped him to put forward such a strong opinion, but I believe that the reviewer had nothing personal against the director and is merely trying to warn us against wasting precious currency or time.

Rubbish review - rediff's lowering standards
by a980@rediffmail.com on Feb 10, 2007 06:09 AM

I havent seen the movie nor right now do I much care for the fact - what is appalling is the kind of dimwits rediff will go ask to do reviews. N.Patcy has neither cinematic sense nor the ability to convey his/her opinion in a vocabulary higher than that of an average 14-year old. A juvenile review written entirely without any knowledge of the medium of cinema, of the composition of popular taste, and what constitutes good acting. I am sorry, N. Patcy, but you are just not good enough.
