Haha yeah, that's what I was saying. Well said Raj. So, umm, Dr. Jayalalitha, from whose house, thousands of pairs of sandals were found, belongs to average income earning community? Get your facts straight, south indian boy. Amitabh Bachhan contributed a LOT to Indian movie industry (and many other social causes), along with his wife, and also his son. Aishwarya brought glory to the country by winning Ms World title, and becoming one of the best current actress in India, and also becaming a respected name in Western countries. All these people involved brought glory to the country. They deserve to celebrate Abhishek's and Aishwarya's wedding.

Just to let you know I dont think your "Dr. Jayalalitha" ever filed any taxes, but Amitabh is one of the highest tax payers in the nation. So give him and his family some due respect.

Ek ChaturNaar
To those nasty writers on this board
by Ek ChaturNaar on Apr 19, 2007 02:24 AM  | Hide replies

Hey you nasty writers,

Please stop being the Dhobi's of Raamaayan and enjoy the wedding coverage. Even Ram could not fight the Dhobi kind. Ash and Abhishek are poor mortals and sinners and may be have done probably the worst things in their lives but it is their day. Let them have their day yaar. Our culture is to give aashirvaad not to curse people on their wedding day. Remember if Aapki Shaadi ke din aapke liye koyi aisa likhe to aapko kaisa lagega. Treat people as you want to be treated.

Is this guy A--- Sing- a jonk or leech or what? Whenever you hear/read of Amitabh nowadays, his name or thobrha is not far. Is he sponging on Bachhan? A parasite?

Everybody in Bollywood knows that Ash is not a virgin, she acts like a pure, sweet girl but her body has been rocked by many guys- and salman has already had countless unofficial "Suhag Raats" with her! hahahaa

Mayala Fakir
This marriage
by Mayala Fakir on Apr 19, 2007 02:12 AM  | Hide replies

Wonder why so many people are against the coverage of this marriage? After all two celebrities are getting married, there's bound to be a curiosity element. Besides, rediff has to earn more hits on their website to be in business. All said and done, when people consciously chose to visit the particular website detailing the marriage of these particular celebrities, why complain? People should have refrained from clicking the link if they fervently believe that the marriage is a public tamasha and that coverage is a criminal waste of ether-space and that reading about it is a gross waste of time. Why read and on top of it, comment on it, which is an additional waste of time? That's kinda silly.

rediff is in publishing business, yellow or not, and they'll do whatever it takes to get them ahead. Period. And coverage of "popular"/"noteworthy"/"sensational" events is well within the ethics of publicity business. Twisting truths to suit their ideologies, misrepresentation of facts, biased coverage etc. is a different thing and a topic for 'nother day.

Two nice people are getting married, their families and friends are having fun and are spending their own money, in all the probability, and not public money. Let's wish them good luck and move on.

And for people to remark that they should marry simple and donate their money to charity smacks of hypocricy and downright stupid, imho.

"why so many people are against the coverage of this marriage?"

just a news is fine. but why this kind of live telecast? is there no other social issues to report on? does the more important social problems/events get this kind of covering?

think guys
by Abhijit Nimkar on Apr 19, 2007 02:05 AM

everybody will comment here how rediff is useless & are reporting such nonsense news but again all these people are gonna check this site for more such stupid news & again the same thing of blaming rediff will start...
Just chk out the no. of people who have commented on this particular article, rediff knows even if ppl are blaming them for such nonsense news they are gonna come back tomorrow to read more such news.... and what you people get by blaming them, rather just stop checking rediff for news & find some other site which provides the real news.Dont just waste time here in blaming rediff, there are more important things to do in everybodys life... u r only wasting ur own time when u post ur comments here, infact u r helping rediff know that more & more ppl have read this article when u post a comment..... Think abt this...
