RDB or LRM(Lage Raho Munnabhai) are the main contestants for Oscar. Main thing is that they both reprsents different chracters form History. Bhagat Singh and Gandhi Are 2 characters from India's Freedom fight but both reprsent very much different characters. But Main Thing is in they never criticise each other's stance.The way was different but intention was same. Both films are made very well and are unique than all other films.Main thing is that they all are very much special for all Indians.
Therefore which is better is not the question and I also donot think that few Americans(Judges of Oscar awards) will ever know what these films are meant for Billion Indians.
RDB is a good movie in the sense of acting, music, cenemotography etc.. But it gives the mes of violence to youth. it made fun of ind army in presented a social org as an anti nationa org and defence minister as joker. And whole unit of RDS knew that pakis were responsible for the bomb blast took place in india but it gives false notion aobut this. Rahkeh and amir are close to pseudo cogress and it was selected over kris and lage raho munnabai. Last year paheli was selected over the black & paheli did not nominated for any awrds. What a hypocrasy !!!!!!!

We have always sent these popular Hindi movies for oscars. Let alone Oscar, they never even win Indian National Movie award for best movie. I think we should send always the national award winner for Oscar so that atleast it stands a chance. But that will happen only if people start thinking...
RDB is an excellent choice for the oscars...Aamir at his best...his second entry ..I hope people now will start recognising this true talent... .I wonder who were the jury members when Paheli was selected..what a waste...
This is one of the wisest decisions I have ever seen... I dont know why Karan Johar even thought his film was worthy... RANG DE BASANTI rocks and it deserves an Oscar. All the best to RDB team..
Though RDB is a good movie and may have chosen looking at the present scenario of international terrorism, but Lageraho Munnabhai should have been the right choice and it has also a international theme and its timing about 2 hr 25 min which makes also a strong case. Once again India loosing out Oscar ! Anyway I have no complain, as our movies are generally made for our taste and rarely for international test (particularly US, UK etc).
