I heard about da vinci code i read few things about this it is nice i have curiousity about the movie but in india christians are trying to ban the movie but it is not good because we should learn something from history which can increase our lifestyle and knowledge from this. It is said that the book is fiction, we should take like a fiction only we should not think like it is problem to christian religion so many books and films are come on so many religions so we should learn and think simply we should not do like this i hope the film will also will hit the box office,

Da Vinci Code Chaos
by Purushotham Reddy on May 19, 2006 09:28 AM

I just don't understand what the whole fuss is about. The book was realeased three years back and when nobody had a problem then why now when it is made into a film? This whole thing reminds me of a famous indian saying which goes like "Chori hone ke chey mahine ke baad kutte bhonke"

And as far as the author's opinion about this novel is concerned, let her keep her opinion to herself.I strongly support sameer in this matter, a book doesn't just become a best seller for no reason nor an "amateurish" book would certainly become a best seller for its mediocrity in writing standards.

People who read books are not morons. If the things talked about by brown in the book raise a controvesy, let be it.The protesting people around the world can debate on the issues and try to argue their point, but not just go around like a cry baby and behave like "attention seeking bipolar whore".My religion has nothing to do whith my statements. If this book talked about my religion, my reaction will be the same .Even if these things turned out to be a harsh truth, will not diminuish the faith of millions around the globe, who practice a religion that preaches love and forgiveness for all.

'DA' robust roots of faith and fiction
by Anujaya on May 19, 2006 09:09 AM

George Bernard Shaw once said, There is only one religion, though there are a hundred versions of it and truly so. All of us belong to the sole religion of humanity and mankind. As such we follow diverse faiths and have a right to do so. Now, the film in question, The Da Vinci Code has raised a number of controversies regarding its content, which shows that Jesus Christ was related to a lady, Mary Magdalene and the book even points to the fact that his bloodline exists. Undoubtedly, all those who believe in their faith have been stirred to protest against it all and there have been requests to label the film as fictitious. But, I ask everyone, what is the harm in viewing a different version of what we have believed so far? Watching the film will not wash the brains of the audience. Faith is firm as a rock and a film must never sway it. The harder we think and ponder over the issue, the more we will discover about our own intellect and spirituality. According to the author, Dan Brown, A very wise British priest noted recently in the press, Christian theology has survived the writings of Galileo and the writings of Darwin. Surely it will survive the writings of some novelist from New Hampshire. And so, I see no reason whatsoever for the film to be banned. In fact, everyone must watch it as a creative effort and I assure you: the trail of symbols and clues in the film will be intriguing!

Good one, Tina. Rest of you, it is indeed a mediocre book. Could nt believe, one of these toilet novels is making so many waves around. Some credit definitely to Dan Brown, to get summarize and symplify a few good books on the same topic.

Nobody came back to India from US after watching SWADES.
Itz time to USE your head and think.
