To Whomsoever it may concern,
Jesus is the son of God.He is God Himself We have no right to create our own story. For God there is no need to get marry. In Himself has the fulness of God. He is not so mean to have that low status of the humans. He came to save the world. He loves everyone without caste creed male or female. Let us not think low of Gods image. One who speaks such has not reached to find out what great GOD is. Please stop such nonsense about Jesus. Foolishness on part of that man made this type of film.
Bye,
Sangeeth

Da Vincie Code
by Menino E. Cota on May 18, 2006 11:52 AM

The book is all nonsense, it should be read as a story only, as mentioned, the film with lots of errors and fiction. Such films when relates to History and religion must be sensored properly before release. I feel that it should be totally banned in India.

Tina, you wrote this review as if you know wha the truth is. You are acting as if you an authoritative figure on the history of christianity and all the secret organizations. And you go the extra step of trashing the novel as mediocre. Ok, mediocre in writing, so what? it became the best seller for a reason - it was unput-downable... also it did tried to expose some of the facts behind catholicism, its secrets and tried to portray Jesus as human. Do you have proof to disprove Dan Brown's assertion? do you have proof to say that Jesus was God and did not marry? so please, dont give us your amateurish BS.

Ma'am
While you have made a fairly accurate insight on certain points, I beg to disagree with some of your claims. No one sells 40 million copies just because their book has the 'right ingredients' and they got lucky.
Of course the book needs to have those ingredients of suspense and thrill, but you hardly appear to have read the book. It gives nothing away, and in no way can it be called an 'amateurish' effort. The intricacy of the plot, according to me is absolutely amazing, and all the criticism about certain facts being wrong, according to me is unfounded. It is clearly stated that the book is a work of fiction, and the fact page merely states that 'All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate', not things like whether there are windows in the Louvre's restrooms. Granted, there are cases where the physical locations and other minor errors concerning real-life facts, but then again, this is a work of fiction, and the author makes no claim about that they are true, just that the actual references to them are accurate.
I therefore, blatantly disagree with your statements about the book being 'mediocre' or 'amateurish'

Dan Vinci's Code

Because i support freedom of expression with no "but"s and "if"s ,i say that the protests against Dan Brown's Code is totally justified. Atleast it puts into proper perspective an unsucessful writers attempt to make some money(and man did he make some),should not sow seeds of falsehood, which can grow unchecked, like some of the RSS inspired stories about Mahatma Gandhi. The Indian Government should not ban the movie, but maybe make sure that enough material is shown mentioning that it is purely a piece of fiction.

I think the writer is also making sweeping comments on the book and the subject as Dan Brown does on the subject.
Common now this is just a book !! Common grow up. I am sure Indian Government will continue the policy of oiling religious sentiments, specially of the minoroties. Ban the Film. Long Live Democracy!

The real code...!
by Godfrey J Lawrence on May 18, 2006 11:21 AM

Attacks on christian faith is not new.Right from the day of Apostles countless people have been persecuted and died as martyrs for their faith in christ.Even now in some countries there are underground churches whose pastors are persecuted and imprisoned for their faith. The mighty Roman emperors killed countless christians because of their faith. Many were the attempts to destroy Holy Bible.Inspite of all that the Gospel of Lord Jesus christ has survived to this day...A simple novel cant do much damage to King of Kings and Lord of Lords..I feel sorry for Dan Brown!
