we indians r idiots. we have a habit of whining about everything. sure, the media deserves criticism. but in most of the comments posted by readers in this section we see a tendency to be just blindly negative, not intelligently critical. certain sections in the media may be doing a poor job, but there r others who r doing an excellent job. instead of encouraging the good work and diagnosing the bad, most of the imbeciles who posted their comments in this section had only a complaining tone to offer. if u r not part of the solution, u r part of the problem. most of the people who posted these comments do not even know how to form their sentences grammatically, let alone offer free and critical opinions. the trouble with this nation is the people who live in it. we r such an uneducated lot, yet we dare to speak an write with such authority about things we know nothing about. what a pity.
I do agree that nowdays media is nothing but just a commerecial way to extend any news and ear money.Whether it is effecting somebody or not, like a incidence on one of the news channel, the media was standing there and they were telecasting the news that some scenes might be disturbing and that man ablaze himself infront of the responsible media, who were busy in giving the first coverage of the whole episode,
I dont know where we are going in this domain, but hope media is always right, hahahaha,
India's highest paid actor, infact Asia's second highest paid actor is our own Rajnikanth. His salary after his last mega blockbuster Chandramukhi has sky-rocketed.
i fully agree with the views expressed by amir khan on the role of contemporary media. no doubt the media has been playing great roles in the society, however, there is an urgent need to introspect about its way of reporting on many sensitive matters as it affect the minds directly. hence, those responsible should take an immediate and timely step to check such heedless onslaught before the people reject such absurdity on first hand. indeed, the media need to play a more responsible and positive role for building a healthy society rather than discovering new gimmicks to sell news for material gains.
Aamir was in Bangalore two months. And the manner in which he treated the media, so willing to spread his words and smiles around, were treated with utter contempt. They were called to wait for him by his public relations agency. And wait, they did for over four hours. When he did make it, he simply had three seconds flat to flash a smile and disppear. So much for his concern for the media. If he cannot face the media and give them that respect, he has no basis to mouth holy truths about disciplining the media. Media might be all that the browsers here are alleging it to be. But thank the media for keeping the country ticking. If it was not for the media, you guys wouldn't be seen making those very opinions against the media.

Responsible Media and Irresponsible Media are two opposite faces of same thing dear. The difference is that the responsible media sells for facts and the other one comes to any level to keep alive. We are the public and we know what and how you guys report... You have sold your self to us and it is our wish whether or not to purchase you... You are just a commodity in the market and we the public are the bosses and we are at liberty to choose and comment... See and learn from channels like CNN and BBC or even AL-JAZEERA and see how they report and wee what their viewership is....
What he says is very right . Todays Journalism is not a journalism but more you can say is something presenting some facts(is better to say story)they build .. around and present the newseven without any prelim investigfation or any kind of responsiveness .This media guys eyes are always at the Margins what they get if they First present the news Or to become famous by presenting some tintalizer to the Society But there are also many peoples they may forget that they are only Laughing stock to a greater portion of mass of the India..
Absurd thoughts of a man, whose meteoric rise owed much to the media as it was for his acting skills. Agreed, Aamir is a star, but the haloo behind him was all thanks to the media. Cinema might be big in India. But it is the media which separates the good from the bad, the worthless from the worthy. Aamir's spewing venom on media is too generalised. His attitude towards the media which built him is akin to a child's abuse to the mother. Anyways, forgetting the roots is the hallmark of most stars. And Aamir sticks to that rule. Way to go!

It is not the media but ultimately the quality of work that makes or mars a star. Media can only work as a positive or negatve catalyst, but the actual reaction comes from the body of work and celluloid personality fo the star.
