I must have seen the movie for atleast 4 times since it got released and every time I find a different reason to love the movie!!! Very good storyline and amazing concept of two stories running parallel, great performances by the entire cast, music that makes you listen to it again and again, great cinematography and what not!!! I fall short of words when I'm asked to describe what I think of of the movie. All I can say is, I get goose pimples whenever I watch the movie. The best thing I like about the movie is how it successfully delivers the meta-message that something radical has to happen to change the current system. The movie has surely succeeded in enhancing the feeling of patriotism in many hearts across the nation. I was always patriotic but now I feel so much more passionate about contributing to my country's development in some way or the other!
i dont know i will be able to express what i felt for the movie i saw first time...its extraordinary with all kind of flavours added to it..it has everything..love , affection, patriotism, emotions, humour, bravery, perfect music, excellent cast, union with common mass, i dont know may be a lot lot more. And definitely i include siddartha who played the role of \\\"Karan Singhania\\\"..hats off to him..he was very perfectly suited for the role..and i have become an ardent fan of siddartha.
this movie is the best. i have never seen such a movie. it actually penetrates into you to your soul and makes you realise that you got to get the hell out of here and do something and bring a revolution. i simply LOVE this movie. i think the movie is great with its technicality too. the performances were fabulous. its a directors' movie. i don't think Indian cinema will ever forget this movie. its a landmark in Indian cinema.
Every Indian should watch Rang De Basanti. If still u have not seen the movie, unconciously u have done a crime. I believe one single film can't change the country or society but one film like RDB can give you a blow to your soul. You will realise that what is going on around you and how you are facing it. The message is very clear and straight in this film.Aamir Khan is superb. I think doing one film after 2-3 years is injustice for the viewers and Indian Film Industry. Bcoz there are superstar, megastars No1, 2 etc etc but in this Industry there is only one Aamir Khan. Films like RDB is impossible without Aamir Khan. So Aamir plz give us more extraordinary and good films like RDB.
its the best history class i have been to ever! my only regret is that it got over too early with only one achievement. thanks to all who came in together to make this film.
The basic idea is solid: An Englishwoman, granddaughter of a jailer who held, and later oversaw the execution of Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, et. al., comes to India to make a movie about the revolutionaries; the actors are chosen from a group of yuppies from Delhi university; and in the process of filming, the yuppies 'wake up'. But, in this very process of waking up things go horribly wrong, and so it goes with the making of a movie from an admittedly original idea.
Nothing of consequence happened in the first 40 mins. In a periodic alternation of sepia toned scenes from the lives of the revolutionaries and slick looking song and dance numbers / masti scenes from the lives of the yuppies, an interesting milieu is introduced: a poor Muslim guy, a fighter pilot, a boisterous Punjabi, a RSS type fellow, a rich confused kid, and so on. Unfortunately, it turns out that the backgrounds of these characters have only a tenuous connection with the rest of the plot. The overwhelming negativity and pessimism spewed out by these characters is unrealistic and outdated. Familiar lines from the 80s like 'is desh mein kuch nahi hoga', 'kuch nahi badalney wala hai idhar' are
If you ask from yourself that why hollywood movies are not just better but incomparable to ours...you will find many answers..but do really our directors are dumb, photographers are crap, storywriters are bullshit, actors are crass..many a times yes and for very very very few times no..you will think why, let me tell you..it's not due to financial constrains, but due to laziness, for easy money and some utterly dumb people in this field,if we leave likes of Mr roy, gulzar, govind nihlani and more(but as i said very few..),what we will find is a bunch of directors (and their pet actors),use to shoot lavishly, without any story line, utterly unrealistic plot, mawkish acting, very long repeated scenes, bogus music, song and dance sequences..yes you got it right..they are our karan johars, yahraj films blah blah type of directors.i dont know why they portrait our hero as getting down from a chopper on his birthday to meet his mama....why i mean why??because we indian are poor and can't afford in real life then enjoy it on reel life...no way sir....remember we are one of the most intellect people in software and academics,we will be in each and every field I urge you to boycott such flck,n salute RDB
