I think the 1 year given to Salman is just way too little. A lot of people have no regard whatsoever for nature and show little respect to animals. I am disappointed by the fact that this 1 year is just a slap on the wrist.
People like Salman think that they can get away with anything just because they have money. I feel that his past acts are proof that he needs stronger punishment than this 1 year of prison time.
I am sure there will be lots appeals against this verdict and he will end up being a free man very soon. Criminals dont deserve to be free.
It is un fortunate that we have selective punishment . There have been some cases in the media during the last few years where public figures have been accused of killing Protected Wild Life, but none of the accused has undergone trail, convicted. The reasons are many which we all need to address. Acusing one and letting go another is not justice,..
No sympathy for Salman. He fully deserves the punishment (also the others who accompanied him for killing the helpless creatures). Deriving fun out of killing animals is a heinous crime and should be discouraged. Punishment to Mr. Salman and Mr. Tiger Patoudi (who is also indicted in similar case of poaching) will be a deterrent to other people who harbour such barbaric luxuries....
Truly justice has prevailed for those innoent black bucks who were at the receiving end of Salman's bullets.
Will it satisfy his side kicks if other actors were also convicted. Had the Magisterate been more stricter than awarding 1 yr. sentence & paltry Rs.5000/- as fine when salman himself had offered for heavier sentence( even Gallows). Truly justice is all pervading & doesn't discriminate.
Next lets wait for Tiger Pataudi who lost all respects with the life of the protected specise he killed.
Surely it is a world of Karma(action & reaction)where nothing is allowed to be spilled over to the next birth.
Salman should take heart from this experience. He may well produce "Maine Jail Kque Gaya".
Its very sorry that Salman is made a scapegoat when there were so many stars who were along with him he is such a gem of a person i feel sorry for the Indian administration its sick politicians are allowed to go scott free
For your kind information, endangered Black bucks are also found in some areas of south India. Now Salman has been sentenced for killing Chinkara and not Black buck and his black buck trial is under way. I am expecting another three years of sentence to him for killing black bucks as well. Other actors who are involved should also be punished. People take it for granted regarding wildlife. Wild life Act sould be ammended.
