Good descision

I agree that he being a celebrity ,matter has got more attention in the media .. but it has to start some where to put an end to over complesence over such matters of breaking law at small or big level and most importantly law is equal for all convicts.

Salman - one year is nothing for the sin
by Raja on Feb 18, 2006 03:13 AM

Salman should pay the price, what he thinks of himself. he is nothing in fornt of a blacks buck. He should be given life sentence for this type of inhumane act. Other bollywood actors are also to be penalised if found in act of hunting.

He is killing people, animals, making life of ash miserable. thats enough, keep him behind bars for life. that animal should not be kept free.

its his own peril
by ravi on Feb 18, 2006 03:09 AM

chinmay,

It is no reason for somebody to be allowed to escape from law, just because others are escaping from it. we are taught from childhood, hunting extinct animals is illegal. It is to his own peril, that salman opted to it. People who support, their favorites, so blindly, and argue that they should be left alone even after a crime is a big trouble. dont you understand, a crime is a crime done by anybody, whether its you, your buddy, your family or ur favorite actor. i like salman too, but for this act of his, he is to be punished

bravo!

I hope the courts stick to it. I refuse to believe that all the accidents/mishaps that Salman was a part of were conincidental and he is completely innocent. One year ain't too bad but it would put out a message that nobody is above the law.All these celebrities getting away with whatever they do has made the law look ridiculous. Why should it be that only the common man commiting a crime faces the law with all its fury and the same law acts like a domesticated pet for celebrities?
And the last thing I want to see is the filmi fraternity coming out with support saying that he has a good heart and he'z victimized and stuff.

no one care for poor animals
by sreekar on Feb 18, 2006 02:15 AM

it is very sad that no one cares for poor animals, every one supports for salman, disgrace on us, how many species should die on the hands of man kind. I believe every one is equal under law and those how are guilty should be punished.

thank you.

Atlast a brave decision
by Satheesh on Feb 18, 2006 01:48 AM

Kudos to the Judge and the forest officials who worked upon this case. The future offenders should never ever think again that they can escape the hands of the law.
Salman should be punished for killing the pavement dweller while driving drunken. Hopefully that case too gets the guilty punished. Let him come out as a booda...who bothers. Whoever supports him can also be allowed to stay behind the bars if they wish to.

Hail India! Hail Truth!

A happy Indian

Salman Punished
by Surendra on Feb 18, 2006 12:46 AM

It is a very good decision. Well, Its unfortunate that others are acquitted but that does not mean that Salman is punished intentionally. He deserved more than what he got. However, I am doubtful that the higher courts will be able to maintain such a fair decision (at least for salman).
