Murderer

Hi to Everyone.

Being famous is one and being recognized is other. When a person is in this state what does he expect, it is sad that an actor of this stature has done, only thing I can blame is the judiciary. This should have happened long back. Its right he should be punished. When he can live on this planet what did the species do to him for it to be killed?

This is what we call indian justice
by Syed on Feb 18, 2006 02:16 PM

I don't know why government have single minded focussed to put salman behind the bar.. It seems all are planned drama. In india, where people move freely after killing people, master minded crore's scam , judges are keen to go against salman for killing blackbuks. There are so many serious issues related to preserving wild life , solve those first and then media will give you attention. Why you want Salman for your publicity.

All other stars should also be punished
by ram manohar vikas on Feb 18, 2006 01:37 PM

Indian judicial system seems to be a fan club of bollywood. It took eight long years to book one of the culprits. Other members of the hunting gang like shahs and Bendres has been left scot free. However, judiciary has tried to justify two things, something is better than nothing and better late than never.

In an era when people are influenced by the virtual value system than actual value system, Salman is a beneficiary. His silverscreen drama has influenced judges. Though we are no judges to legally book (or reward) Salman but he should have been given maximum punishment for his crime.

On the lighter part if whole team would have punished some of the jail inmates must have made a movie. Judges has deprived an opportunity of some budding diretor among jail inmates.

its a fantastic news

No one can escape law. In India where anyone can escape law or buy it using either clout of money, muscle power or political connections, famous personalities getting punished for their misdeeds is infact a good news.

It goes on to show that atleast the Judiciary in India is mature enough to handle these cases. The judgement reinforces citizens faith in judiciary.

I have nothing against the rich and the famous and the strong, but against their arrogance that they can get away with anything.

Its high time We Indians stop idolising the popular personalities and treated them as equals, not pity them as why only they are are being punished.

Its a good beginning, Today its Salman, tomorrow it could be a political goonda, or a rich arrogant man who goes against the Law will go to Jail.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

I have nothing against the guy - With or without his hair! Its just that (and if the press has to be believed) he has been much of an anti-hero in real life! There have been instances of him roughing up people, ramming into sleeping pavement dwellers, raising a ruckus at parties - Basically the works! And as the popular maxim goes, here in India, the law is meant only for the poor (they recently found an undertrial languishing in prison for 38 years) or the socially unfortunate. This act (the sentencing)even if symbolic (as I am sure he will got the High Court) will convey to the common man that the LAW is still pure!!!

Absolutely right decision
by Saurabh on Feb 18, 2006 12:12 PM

what is the reason which made you felt that its a ridiculous decision? If you would have done the same thing, huh the life would have become miserable by now.
Salman Khan is convicted on many issues. I think government should set an example by this. Nywayz he is as usual on bail for a month. Do you think a drunken man killing lifes of road side people deserves empathy. NO way! No wonder if court convicts him on 100 other odd grounds.Lets see the game wether again money and power wins or the government;)(pun intended)
