BEIJING DUMP CHEAP GOODS KILLING FINANCIALLY WEAK MSME SECTOR
by damodaran mohan on Nov 07, 2016 05:30 PM

On Chinese goods the author is not right because what they do is to dump cheap poorest quality goods into India making better quality Indian goods less competitive mostly in the Micro and small scale sector. Not just finished goods they dump cheap poor quality raw materials too making the Indian raw materials which are quality wise superior costlier. These Chinese tactics has forced many micro and small factories shut shop in Auto spares, Toys, handicraft sectors etc. with thousands if not lacs of poor Indian workmen losing their livelihood. The Govt. must protect the private micro and small scale sector from the imported Chinese goods which are produced in mass scale using state capital w/o the usual hassles of state checks of factory laws like the labor laws, state regulations, inspector raj etc. Thus Govt. must ban all Chinese goods outright in the micro and small scale sector if the financially weak Indian MSME sector is to grow and employment is to be generated in the lowest category of workers.

Disparity has high growth;development has no growth
by R ponnabalam on Nov 05, 2016 10:00 PM

Growth is happening, but, at the same time, the disparity also is widening. That means even if everybody is growing which is not the case the rate of growth is different at abominate rate. The difference is inevitable as everyone is different but under that excuse the reality is Disparity alarmingly growing though at its fringes growth is there for the well connected/Everything was labour oriented here..It is by design. The world over far back in 1978 there was a switch over to numerical controlled machines as their market need was repeat accuracy and consistency of quality. We have our own fad by choice ;high interest rate; excise duty inability to design production system with dedicated assets to mass produce with quality giving economy of quantity as it was called then which every shop Floor fellow was well aware , the militant unionism and political intervention , all had their share in murdering the manufacturing sector development -modernization.We were closing the eyes to believe that the day is dark, and still do. Every capitalist wants to conserve capital as he is not sure about the future.By a comparison the every bank is a capitalist. Why Banks have not conserved their Capital value ,have lost it by not recovering loan and calling it NPA.Where has that NPA of banks gone and where it is conserved and who has the data on it.Let us be told the reasons as to why our vaunted Market Economy and Private sector couldn’t even match country like South Kor

Whatever products are available we purchase make in bharat
by amit saxena on Nov 05, 2016 08:56 PM

Patanjali is an example set by Indians. If Indians have substitute they give priority to Indian products. Also in electronics intex and micromax are coming out with good products.
Atleast we started boycotting chinese toys which are poisonous to children and chinese crackers which are made up of poisonous phosphoros and chinese decorative items. soon we will switch to videocon and BPL. Tata is also a good product. Cars we have maruti mahindra etc. Where ever we have Indian we give preference to Indian. Iphone is american but it is made in china but soon we will get make in india iphones like nokia phones.

Despite interviewer's anti-Modi slant Bala gave thumbs up to NaMo
by on Nov 05, 2016 07:11 PM

Yes, the economic policies of this govt are going to work, as they are pro-growth, pro-India, anti-sloth, anti-laziness, anti-corruption. And Bala is right, it will take full 10 years to make a total transformation. Key is, will NaMo get the 10 years. For the sake of 1.3 Billion Indians, hope he does, and his partymen and women behave themselves and let the good deeds of Govt reflect in media, not the nonsense of isolated incidents. But it is a fact that most of the media is run by out-of-date fellows, who are very afraid their old ways of being dined and wined by corrupt, media dependent UPA / COmmunist types, are gone. So they are the ones creating hinderences in the path of Modi, not any policy flaw. And it will take time for the sloth of 65 years and spoiled habits and psyche of Indians to change and go for things like Swachh Bharat, Make in India, and Digital India. After all, India is not a CHina with a single party and single unquestioned leader of politburo. It is a raucous, noisy democracy where anti-nationals like even NDTV are allowed to spew their anti-national venom day in and day out. This is a sad democracy discount. Anyway, the nation is certainly on a right track under NaMo's leadership; hope the States also overcome their sloth and run with a common agenda of growth and development, not old-fashioned but disastrous policies of hand-outs and loan-waivers and crony capitalism of UPA - that are a part of the reasons of massive bad loans in PSU Banks.

Sensible handling not being emotional & act foolish
by Rajesh Pandey on Nov 05, 2016 10:32 AM

Expecting people to blindly follow the make in India will not work for all categories of people. You cannot expect me not to buy iPhone just because it has been made in china but of course I will not buy clothes, daily core items and other items like crackers and decorative items etc. Some people like me will never compromise on things that helps increase efficiency and is convenient. I would be glad to see that apple iPhones start getting made in India. Writer should not expect people to have - accept all or none attitude.
