I HAVE WATCHED THE SUBJECT PRIME TIME SHOW ON TIMES NOW. EVERYONE WOULD APPRECIATE TO HAVE EQUALITY, SOCIAL JUSTICE BUT WHY SHOULD NOT BE COMPULSORY FAMILY PLANNING, DIVORCE THROUGH COURTS, COMMON CIVIL CODE? YOU TALK OF INJUSTICE WITH MINORITT, THEN WHAT ABOUT MUSLIM POPULATION GROWTH FROM 2 CRORES TO 17 CRORES SINCE INDEPENDENCE. YOU MAY NOT BE KNOWING THE GROUND REALITIES. OBC/BC'S AT TOP LEVEL IN GOVT OFFICES DENIES CHANCE TO THEIR OWN CAST CANDIDATES, DEMAND BRIBE. WHAT ABOUT CREAMY LAYER THRESHOLD? WHICH IS INCREASE AGAIN AND AGAIN AND DOWNTRODEN BC/OBC IS DEPRIVED FROM JOB RESERVATION.
In the article it has been mentioned that talent is not the property of only some so called upper castes. . Really well said. It is agreed that talent does exist in other - the so called oppressed castes too. Then where is the requirement for reservations. Based upon talent compete & get the job wherever it is. RESERVATIONS HAVE BEEN IN INDIA FOR THE LAST SIX DECADES. HAS GOV'T SERVICES IMPROVED? RATHER STANDARD OF SERVICE HAS BEEN DEGRADED, CORRUPTION, NEPOTISM & REDTAPISM HAVE INCREASED. ECONOMICALLY WEAKER PERSONS SHOULD BE GIVEN ALL FACILITIES IN STUDIES BY WAY OF SCHOLARSHIPS etc WITHOUT BLOCKING THE PATH OF OTHERS & MADE STRONG CONTENDER FOR JOBS OR ENTERPRENEURSHIP RATHER A PERSON FOR LIFE AS DISABLE WITH WHEEL CHAIR

Yes, form last 2000 years reservation is being practiced, but other way round i.e. reservation for minority upper cast.

HEY GUYS. NO POINT IN ARGUING. RESERVATION IS BOUND TO CONTINUE IN THIS COUNTRY.
Lets be practical. No Government can afford to abolish reservation. It is sad that in name of reservation even President of India/Chief Justice of India's children can claim benefit. There is no social justice. And in reality those poor really deserving SC guys do not even get the SC certificate and are deprived of benefits.
Only solution is to move Supreme Court with WRIT PETITION and ensure that NO RESERVATION BENEFIT TO: 1) Those who clained once in life time and to their lineal desendents. 2) Children of President/ SC & HC Judges / Ministers/ MPs/ MLAs/Surpanch/ Corporators etc. 3)Children of Class II and onwards officers of Cent/State Govt officers etc. 4)Children of Income tax Tax payers 5) Any one who travelled overseas for whtever reason except Military person 6)Children of any one who held land exceeding certain limit at any time in past. 7) Any such category.
With such reforms, 95% of persons demanding reservations will automatically be disqualified and real deserving poor SC will get benefits for which none of us should have any objections.
And mind you, IF IT IS IMPLEMENTED, NO PATELS OR JATS OR OTHER ELITE COMMUNITIES WILL EVER MAKE AGITATION FOR RESERVATIONS. And real justice to really poor deserving SC guys in rural India whose condition is really pathatic. None of us will ever object if reservation benefit given to these poor,deserving SC/OBC people.

First implement it properly.Then think of second step. You doesn't want to repair damage caused to society through this discrimination though centuries and still today. Still top most reserved post were vacant for years.

Reservation should be given only once in a family in their life time. There are some children of IAS officers who live in palatial bunglows, zoom in expensive cars, go to the best schools in town, eat much healthier food than an average upper caste student, but still gets the RESERVATION !!!!! Is it justified???? GIVE UP RESERVATION, MY DEAR SC/ST/OBC parents for your children.These guys score 600 marks and get plum civil service posts, whereas, the upper caste guy, even if he scores 1100 marks, he is not given a clerical post!!! Where is the justice?? The children of SC/ST/OBC whose parents have already availed RESERVATION also are equal to the upper caste children by virtue of getting good education etc and do not deprive the upper caste children of their genuine seats in institutes, civil services etc.

i think democracy should be abolished because dishonest people want to grab jobs via reservations just because they are in majority.

IN PUBLIC SECTOR YOU HAVE BROUGHT IN RESERVATION AND SEE THE CONDITION OF MANY PSUS, YOU ARE COMPROMISING ON QUALITY IN THE NAME OF RESERVATION, JUST LEAVE ALONE PRIVET SECTOR.IF THE GOVERNMENT IS ADAMANT,LET THEM HAVE RESERVATIONS FOR CLASS 4 JOBS.

Get smart sense. Yes, you said it correct you doesn't want SC, ST, OBC in top chair otherwise how can you talented people seat along with them only class 4 jobs is ok. For centuries you have reserved all seats for yourself.Still today no top chair of any PSU or Govt is filled by any reserved person. Say who is responsible of those PSU company which you are mentioning.

There are SCs and STs who have reached to the top because of easy promotions, still their lazy grand children (who were brought up in upper middle class standard) are taking advantage of reservation and the real needy ones (irrespective of caste) are still struggling to come out of low income group status. When the SCs and STs are enemy of their own caste, the reservation for even next 5000 years will not be sufficient to bring justice. It is important that reservation be based on economic and class criteria rather than caste criteria.
Let only OBC and SC/ST and Category reservation doctors operate and treat such politicians. Let them have guts to accept only such reservation doctors only for their treatment.
