Reservation

First all reserved class must bow that they will observe one child norm and will not take advantage as soon as they start paying Income Tax.
If they do not - they are playing politics and making our democracy prejudiced and biased. No sympathy with those who have crossed Income Tax limit. We are only with deprived and poor.

Sir, we are talking about cast not reach and poor. This is your wrong perception that people giving income tax are not being discriminated on the basis of there cast. Bright/average students were humiliated and failed in there institution. This is the process of giving confidence and acceptance of such population who are enjoying there human life and deprived them their right of being human.

We are proud of our culture.
by Raja on Feb 13, 2016 12:30 PM  | Hide replies

Caste system is the core of our society. Its history goes back to 1500-1000 BCE till now. Creator of our Constitution were perhaps not proud of that. We should amend/scrap the constitution and go back in those nostalgic phases. This will make our nation great and will be comfortable for all upper caste by getting all there slaves back for their luxurious livelihood.

If caste system is so bad, why Islamic States are fighting. Whether you call division of humanity on caste basis or religion basis or region basis or language basis or rich or poor basis or man or woman basis-all division are bad.

No, No. it is our heritage we should carry it on. We should also restart some extincted good things like saati prathaa, education for only upper cast, widow marriage, ban on lower cast to enter temples etc.

By the way it is very good thought (black and white), but reality (having all shades) you have mentioned. All humanitarian is fighting unselfishly and continuously for the cause.

Reservation.

Let there be 50% compulsory reservation in armed forces and para military forces, then we will see how many really interested. they are interested only in babu/dummy jobs. Reservation should be given based on economic criteria not caste. there are poor in other caste also who need support in education. let there be equal opportunity given to all in education and then let all compete for job. reservation in promotions is absurd and demotivate others to perform.

That's good. We should even have reservations in sports eg., in cricket, out of playing 11, 2 SC, 2 ST, 3 Minority, 2 OBC, 1 Physically Handicap, 1 General Category. Implement same in Defense Sector especially those guarding Borders.
SC/ST/Minorities to be given driving license/flying license without appearing for Tests. Such Drivers and Pilots to be behind the wheels when these Netas accompany as passengers. The Reserved Category to be declared as Certified Doctors the very moment they apply for Medical Entrance Exams and they to be posted as Personal Doctors for these Netas Supporting Reservation. I think that will bring more equality in the society.

There should not be any kind of reservations. If these politicians want (like the one who raised this issue) they should give according to financial status along with merit. Why no idiots are talking about compulsory basic education on agriculture also. Who is really thinking about agriculture. How many skilled laborers are there in our country? Equality should be there in all FIELDS of jobs and only on merit basis. Why no one is thinking about senior citizens who are depressed, poor, without anybody's support at old age etc. FIRST THING TO DO is to remove the caste system.

Let me suggest a solution.
1.Lets all of us drop our surname (fathers & mothers also).
2.Abolish all private education institution. (to get equal education from village to metro city).
3.Transfer/ rotate all public servants(specially teachers) from city's to villages.
Basically make level playing field. No tuition, no Chacha bhatija etc. You can also add may more suggestion like that.

But you are not happy about sacrificing your surname. Ok, your solution is back to old days before 1950.

Reservation is required to give uplift to dalit category people only not OBCs. Even that should be limited to seats in educational institutions and financial aids Not on JOB.

Progressive Discrimination will gradually weaken the country!
by awadh jha on Feb 13, 2016 11:18 AM  | Hide replies

What the learned political intellectual is proposing is making the caste based descrimination a permanent feature of the indian democracy.Of course Mr Verma might have got his own high position in the Govt without any reservation at that time. This political thought tries to make the caste system a instrument of discrimination against the upper castes, who have been toleration this injustice long enough.

The Cost of Reservation.
by krishnan bala on Feb 12, 2016 07:15 PM

Introduction of reservation in Govt. services initially killed those departments. The Postal Services became a Dead Letter Office and Private Courier companies flourished. Telephone services became redundant with even line men dictated when a particular fault will be rectified. OBC ministers appointed to over-see the ministry stole ths complete exchange to their home when every citizen frustrated at the service offered surrendered his land line. Cell phone companies flourished.Reservation entered Banks and even a sub-staff could not be ordered to do his job with powerful caste based unions backing him. Inefficiency seeped in and politicians forced the Managers to advance loans to their own caste people despite being very much in the knowledge, it is unlikely to be returned. The NPAs multiplied and the private banks reaped a good harvest with nationalised banks becoming a dumping ground for inefficient staff and distributor of largesse to all and sundry.Reservation entered Educational institutions and a 35 % entry level candidate accommodated at a prestigious engg. college while his brilliant counterpart from O.C. with 90% was allotted a rural seat with no lab facility. We spent crores on subsidized education and at the end found that the un-deserved despite their Engg. degree are un-employable.Private colleges flourished with capitation and the deserving earned their degree and migrated for greener pastures. Judiciary was the last bastion and witness the incidents in T.N.

Talent also exists in other groups
by V Chandrakant on Feb 12, 2016 07:15 PM

If talent exist why the h**l do they need reservations?
Can they not stand on their on legs?
How long do they need crutches?
Are these talented proud of crutches?
In Maharashtra the reservation is 52 % and there was a proposal to increase it to 74%
Reservation in schools Colleges Jobs Promotions.
In Govt Organisations and Govt Banks we see majority of non-generals.
Now they want even in private sector compulsory for talented brilliant non-generals?
