domestic solar rooftop panels
by RAJA on Dec 07, 2015 10:42 PM

I've come through this article during intensive searching regarding availability of net metering in WBSEDCL area as I intend to install a small rooftop solar system of about 1kw in my residence. But there is nothing mentioned about it in WBSEDCL Web-site about how to proceed to install such a small solar rooftop system. Please help me in this regard. Thanks.

Well done, Avijit Ghosh.

Well done, Avijit Ghosh.

I hope this success story is studied and replicated as it would be a boon for energy-starved India.

The rising efficiency and lower costs of solar panels all can help make this possible.

The shirdi sai baba temple in Shirdi has the largest solar steam system in the world, and which cooks over 20,000 meals per day for pilgrims visiting the temple.

Indeed, if one intelligently utilises the abundant and free power of the sun, we can easily reduce India's heavy expenditure on petroleum and coal. Both petroleum and coal too are just the fossilized forms of ancient solar energy.

To start with the Panchayat /Block development/Primary health centres offices in the rural segments and the district magistrates offices in the urban segments may be a good proposition
