If Modi announces a gigantic tourism project, people have problems and say he can instead use the money for infrastructure project. If he announces an infrastructure project like bullet train, people have problems and say he can instead use it to build metros for all major cities instead of just 1-2 bullet trains. If he announces metros for all major cities (it was announced in yesterday's budget), people have a problem and say instead he could use the money for education purpose. If he announces 5 new IITs & IIMs, people still have a problem and say it dilutes brand value and instead he could have built libraries. If he announces 100 crore online library (it was announced in yesterday's budget), people have a problem and say how will illiterates benefit from libraries. If he announces skill development programmes & ministry of entrepreneurship (first time in Indian politics) so that even illiterates can benefit from skill development & can earn their own livelihood, people still have a problem. What is missing? Everything that people wanted has been given. I guess what people really want is his resignation so that he steps down and gives the PM throne to Rahul Gandhi. Then everybody will be happy.

well said Chakravarthy. The Kangi looters are frustrated, hence such evil articles, and opinions. They are still getting their pay cheques, which will come for generations . Their worry is their masters will be caught some day and they pay cheques wll then stop.

By that logic India should be without tajmahal, charminar, indiagate and other beautiful monuments.. Just like we spend a small fraction of our money in buying statues and flower pots for our home... Country can also spend a small fraction for beautification... All money will be recovered through tourism
2997 Cr for statue, but not for farmers who sucides.Irony of India, where farmers loan amt like just few thousands (not lakh even) does not get waived off and they does sucides and govt spenda 2997 crore on just statue..All vidharbha farmers loan can not exceed 1000 cr ...but in india farmer or poor ppl dont have value as per government. Be it congress or BJP..

First class economists, Class 1 officers seats in AC and give lecture on how bad practice will be if waive off loan of farmers of hardly 1000 Cr in all vidharbh ...mostly sucide prone area.....now they will keep shut on this 2997 Cr expense of statue....it happens only in india..Cong, BJP ..no one will really work for poor ppl
it is not the waste of money just because it will done by modi. how funny it is . we choose a leader where we accept his wrong doing also. crores of rupees will be wasted in building statue. in that he can build hospitals, school or atleast a garden.

what if the money spent is recovered by the way tourism in 5 years after the completion of this project?.will you still say it is a waste of money.If Taj mahal was a waste of money,will you have anything from India in world wonders.

Ok. we agree that she doesn't have brains, and you have. Now explain the rationality behind wastage of Rs.3000 crores on one hand, while asking politicians to use economy class in flights, and trying to retrieve almost the same amount in black money. Modi famously said that India needs more toilets than Temples. Do you know how many toilets can be built in Rs.3000 crores ?

I guess Mitali was drunk when she narrated the entire episode on talking negatively on the newly elected government. For any country / organization / business to grow, you need a dynamic leader. The congress govt had all the resources and well educated team, but had a laid back attitude and there was no enthusiasm. All politicians were only busy filling their own pockets and did nothing for the country. Mr.Modi in all capacity will prove to be the best leader any country could ever have. He is smart, superbly dynamic and a pro-India. Lastly this is for everyone who are against Modi.... people wait for atleast a decade and not just few years, and you will see India transforming.
