Taking over of sham democratic India is complete. First dummy PM Modi is installed at centre, with media space also under its control there will be no opposition left. Already started reaping benefit. 1. Increase in desired gas price 2. Entry in defence sector. Pakistan has been provoked enough to justify issue of new defence contract. Swatchh Bharat, Corrupt Bharat.

How many statues of this stature India has?,By the way how many times you stepped out of India for a vacation.For you tourism means to go to a local park and cinema theatre.I am sure this statue will attract lot of tourists to Gujarat.
Where were these rats when money was spent on NREGA, digging up and filling up holes? Atleast some asset is being created in this Statue of Unity which will definitely help garner income from tourism. These rats just kept quiet all these years when money was plundered. Go and read cag reports other than those in the public domain to understand how money has been looted and scooted. What is irritating is everyday there is one article against this govt as though these are the guys have looted so much money in the last 60 years. Pathetic and shameful that rediff gives space to these rats

The bullet train project is aimed after 10 years.Not immediately.why are u crying as if Modi is spending right now.After 10 years you will definitely see the diff between now and then(In a positive direction).
If it feels injustice has been done to Patel, the government could start naming some significant new schemes after him - for example the "Jan Dhan Yojana" could have been named after him.
Spending nearly Rs.3000 crores(this is at project start, I'm sure the end will see escalation that is twice this cost!) is a mockery of Indian public money. But most of our politicians are like this(Mayawati's elephants come to mind), so maybe the Indian public deserves to have its money wasted like this.
I just googled who is this lady, anyways from caravan and tehleka girl a traitor and check her blogs, all anti India and Anti National stuff.. Anyways better to ignore such useless people who will do nothing but keep criticizing and making sarcastic and non sense comments - which gives them some popularity and calls from main stream media and magazines.. ROFL do you job lady and Modi, BJP and we people of India will do our duty for Nation..

There has always been a feeling by non-congress voters and possibly few congressmen too that Sardar Patel did not get his due in the past 60 years. BJP had long time back decided to correct this anomaly. They will go the full hog as per this mission. In this context, a grandiose statue makes sense to attract the attention of India as well as the world. You may have seen the commercials on Sardar Patel in all channels.... There is a plan and BJP will stick to it. Some different views like this columnist can rest easy. I was amused at the way Rediff has presented this article "says Mitali Saran". Firstly, she gets huge publicity as people would go to her linkedin and facebook profiles...
For the BJP and the government, the work on the statue will go on to correct a historic injustice!
