all the bussiness community is from Guj.Prepare some of them for defence.provide date how are serving in mil & para mil.
It is not worth at all to spend Rs 200 Crore on a Statue. That amount should be spent by providing better medical facilities and other essential requirements for the poorest of poor in the society.
Nothing wrong in honouring the man who made India ONE.Visitors from across the world to the site and other tourism development would benefit the government in multiples of this amount. Even after death the great man playing pivotal role in uniting Indians as well as contribute to economy.

200 crore from Govt kitty is not a huge amount. This can be recovered through tourism . So don't be upset.
BTW, We tend to think that by allocating funds for pro-poor measures will eradicate poverty. Actually it doesn't. We need allocate budget for infrastructure projects that will provide jobs indirectly or directly involve to poor people.
Proverty cannot be eliminated by feeding poor people though populist measures.
Giving fish to a man who is hungry will not help him. We need to teach him how to fish.

u mean the statue will teach people to fish? This 200cr (and the cost 2k crore?!)is more populist in nature than all other "populist" measures.
What is the difference all politicians are same ,started with Mayavathi and they are following. This 2000 cr for them is nothing but if invested in an industry should give bread and butter to atleast 5000 families.
Pls Dont waste public money for building Statues spend same to grow our Industries and spend same for children s health so that feature we can see lot of real IRON mens

Modi is a wise person. He would have calculated the multiples of crores including foreign exchange going to flow by of tourism through the visitors to the site. Wait and see, after completion of the statue, just put an RTI and see how much revenue the great Iron man of India's stutue site brought to the government.
The statue of SVPatel will be a symbol of stability and unity. This statue will keep our future generations united. SVPatel worked for the welfare of the farmers- the backbone of our country. This massive project will attract more foreign tourists. Respecting a great man of this caliber is highly welcome.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is the IRON Man of INDIA and likewise deserves a BIG memento to be established!
But Why we are going the MAYAWATI way ??
Why this much of funds needed ??
If there are enough funds available, Why SO MANY ROADS of Pradhanmantri Gramsadak Yojna are Incomplete . There are numerous roads inside Maharashtra & may be in other states as well, which are waiting for asphalting .
In NAGPUR district itself, there are many !
Why are they not getting funds for their completion ??
Why don't they deserve " ACCHHE DIN " ????
Today, there is SERIOUS draught like situation in VIDARBHA due to NO RAINS !
Farmers may resort to extreme steps if NO RAIN situation persists!
Govt. must allocate funds for the redressal of this dangerous situation in Vidarbha.
If the food producer of India has Acchhe Din, the country as a whole also will have ACCHHE DIn !
Funds must get allocated judiciously where it is needed most & aptly. Not after when farmers have committed suicides in mass numbers, due to draught situation in Vidarbha!
This is good idea, but it should be in every state of India respective their great man of the state. why should be in only in Gujarat? This type of project will help to promote tourism in India as well as in states.
