Allocation of Budget Rs.200 crores justified for Sardar V.Patel
by Ramanarao Kallepally on Jul 10, 2014 02:58 PM

This is a good news that FM of India has announced to go ahead of the Sardar V.Patel statue in Gujarat while (Print this message)allocating budget provision of Rs.200 crores exclusively for this statue which is one of the best monument to remember Late Sardar Vallab Bai Patel. When Mayawati was CM of Utter Pradesh how she has been permitted to install a large number of Statues of Elephants and the statue of Khansi Ram in all the corners of Utter Pradesh - whose money was this, she should give the explain to public and government of India should take stern and strong action about such illegal activities have been undertaken by her leadership in U.P.

Not just absolutely justified......but, long overdue

But for the brilliant thinking of the true Patrito, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the India as we know today would have never come into existence. If he had not brought together all the erstwhile princely states, then India would have broken into 100s of splinter territories. We would all have needed Visa to move from Karnataka to tamilnadu......Maharashtra to Gurjarat etc etc. So, this Unity statue is a fitting tribute to the Iron man of India

Most of the people here including me are born after independence and hence we do not realize the pains and sacrifices of real Patriots like Sardar Vallabhai Patel. Everything in this world cannot be measured in terms of money alone. For all that Sardar Patel has done for Bharatha Bhumi, this Unity statue can be just a token of appreciation.

token of appreciation costing over Rs 2000 crores. The Sardar himself would have not approved of it if he were alive.

Coming to tourism development and from my experience in China,I find that there are lot of hotel chains like HomeInn,888,Eleven,etc,for middle class people. They are very beautiful and cheap.Even in Guangzhou alone there are about 15 HomeIn hotels.Indians can google and search Home In.I meet lot of Indian business man in Home Inn in Guangzhou as these are cheap but nice hotels.

The funda of these hotel chains are simple. They rent/lease existing buildings for 20-30 years and paint, furnish, etc in single style for their entire chain with standard facilities and make one hotel ready within 2-4 months. Why our entrepreneurs cannot build such neat and clean affordable hotel chain all over the country ? Such rooms cost per night about Rs 1200-1500 and standard is better than our 3 star hotels.
