You joker,

I do not believe in reasonalism, but since you do, I have got to answer.

Have you heard about Sachin Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Madhuri dixit, Vikram Pandit, Vijay Bhatkar, Jayant Narlikar?
I am sure you haven't, because you don't read about good people.

Moreover you will find corrupt people in each and every state if you bother to think.
What about Raja, Lalu, Mayawati?
What about people behind illegal mining all over India (notoriously Andhra and Karnataka)?
There are countless examples across India.

Further, you will see greatest number dons from Mumbai, because it is financial capital.
These people won't have any business in a desert or remote mountains.

I think India will be better off kicking out all corrupt people (even those from Maharashtra) and extremist of all sorts(including you).

If you read my message clearly, you will understand that I did know that he was talking about politicians.

So to counter his point that only the politicians from Maharashtra are corrupt, I gave him example of politicians from other states too.
Regarding money eaten: what about that done by Raja, what about that done by politicians in Andra and Karnataka. Magnitudes of those scams too are big.
Will you forgive one politician who eats 49 cr while punishing one who may have eaten 50 cr.

Secondly Chota Shakil, Abu Salem, Raju shetty, Bharat Nepali (who is dead now), Virappana (who is dead now) are not maharashtrians. I don't want to discuss about their state, all the dons are equally bad.
Also, crime exists in all the states in some or the other form. Isn't it? Is your particular state free of crime?

Regarding Gujratis and Marwaris, yes I appreciate their hard work and I am proud of their hard work. I am also very respectful of all the contributions made by all the Indian (including Bhihari and Up workers to be more specific).

Please don't add to regionalism.
It doesn't do any good to any society.

Agree to your point regarding loving your region.
But I would like to refine it further.

Can one justify any body (Maharashtrian or non-Maharashtrian) having a biased vision towards other states.
How one can justify making his family rich by stealing somebody's money or hurting someone unnecessarily.
If everyone starts doing it, will our society be better off.
I hate those Maharashtrian people seen beating Bihari and Up drivers on television.
They should direct their energy in reducing corrusption in municipalities and that done by builder lobby.
But they won't as they are direct beneficiaries.

Regarding Premier/Ambasador, those issues were caused by our socialist economy where the goverment didn't allow competion in certain (and generally important) industries. This impacted badly the entire nation.

Socialist economy (a form of economy that doesn't allow competion in many sectors) hasn't know to have done any good anywhere else in the world, including china.
China started developing only after it abandoned communist economic model (which is extreme case of socialist model).

Nobody is hurting anyone who is dealing with integrity. I hate it when out of staters come to Maharashtra to set up slums on govt land. With all due respect Maharashtra does not have the resources to absorb UP/Bihar overpopulation while developing its own state. And why should it? UP/Bihar need to control their population and develop themselves. We cannot do it for them.

Secondly the Premier/Ambassador issue went beyond socialism. It was political cronyism. That was the beginning of corruption in India...It was not accidental that one community was benefiting. There was nothing accidental about that policy....

Now I could care less about UP/Bihar in that I could care less what my next door neighbour does. I am Marathi and am frankly not interested in the well being of other states. I would do nothing to hamper them.... but frankly I care about my family, community, city .... in that order.

Yes I am regionalistic and proud of it.

Fremji's Vipro is like Municipality, they have only Testing projects & Netwrongking projects, in the history so far they delivered Billions of Failed Projects in the GULF countries alone.

vipro is king of delivering failed projects to Gulf Countries.

According to wipro its legal to deliver failed Projects & bill to Customer.

Fremji is getting Projects, by spy Gulf Countries for Iran.

The Chennai- Bangalore corridor with its high speed bullet train will beat the Delhi Mumbai Corridor. The sheer length and the involvement of so many states means more problems for the Delhi-Mumbai corridor. This will not be the case with the Chennai-Bangalore corridor, which is already way ahead when it comes to infrastructure.

i agree with you...a drive to/from chennai/bangalore is a pleasant experience. this is the kind of infrastructure that india needs..added to it is the huge number of industries in both the cities and cultural links..

i think this route is going to be one of the busiest in the world in future..

Most of these cities close to the raj desert making them ovens in summer and freezers in winter. Already the existing cities in these areas have become like that.

Instead cities should be developed closer to sea coasts and not inland.

Or even better make the existing cities better instead of trying to build nw cities from scratch.

Maybe politicians wont do it cos they can swallow funds meant for these cities more easily.

Instead of just landscaping as mentioned, they should plant trees translocated from building sites there and from other sites and increase the green cover as much as humanly possible.

Yeah closer to the coast - so that UP/Biharis can migrate there? What's wrong with making cities on the banks of your beloved Ganges?

This All is the Vision of Soniaji.. All Indians must thank her
by rajiv kumar on May 23, 2011 10:57 AM  | Hide replies

Only Soniaji can take India out of the present rot. She alone has the courage, wisdom, attitude & ability to guide India to Superpower status by 2025. Rahulji is being groomed perfectly under her guidance & is bound to be the biggest icon of yourth of all times.
It is time Soniaji assumes PM ship of India, Rahulji as Dy. PM & Priyankaji as HM.
Oldies in BJP can take a call & merge their party with the 125 years old congress party.

Soniaji, big-hearted that she is, will perhaps throw tid-bits to the oldies

Pls dont start to counter this good initiative with personal remarks, scam arguments etc.Appreciate the good step. We need to be mature enough to judge a government. we should stand united like we did against corruption in hazare cause and teach UPA a lesson in TN...same time we should support government when they do something good.....we indian are in biggest democracy..so people had to be very vigil and mature enough

It will take fifty years to complete this. First problem will be land aquisition. The opposite political party will incite the people and oppose land aquisition. Then the sheer pace of construction. It is more than ten years since the Highway road projects were started, and is not completed even now.
