The super rich should not pay more tax.If they pay more tax,our super corrupt politicians will route the money to their foreign account.
Instead,the super rich should voluntarily take up social jobs.They are now super rich and after helping the humanity,they will become super human.Every super rich can adopt one village,or provide food to 100 hungry children or build 1000 houses for poor people.
By doing go to mankind,they will definitely feel happy and successful in their hearts.Some are already doing and many more need to come forward...
Are dear friends, If it was possible to "catch all corrupt", "kill all politicians", "get all black money" We would have done that already. Please give some sensible comments.
Raising taxes is a futile exercises so long as there are tax evaders. This wil surely discourage the honest tax payer to switch sides towards evasion, with corruption having a field day in this country. It would be an admission of guilt, by the Government of the day, if it follows the remedy of increasing the tax value, rather than ensuring that scams are prevented, and exemplary punishment is meted out to the scamsters. Can this be possible in this corruption-ridden society? The rich and powerful will still get away with their 'connections, and the honest tax payer will have to bear the burden.
If super rich are to be taxed extra, that will demotivate them and they will go to some other countries which will be loss to us. Instead, we can introduce plastic money (No hard cash transactions at all) which will curb illegal earnings / black money to large extent and we can see transactions are all genuine. This will generate huge tax revenues and causes proper utilisation and progress.

Like debit cards and swipe at merchants (how small they may be).
Sounds logical, but then the political parties, without exception, get their funds for election from these same people. So, would the Govt have the guts to do this?
instade of putting more burdon on them, govt. should confiscate the complete property of the currept govt. officials and they will have more than sufficient money than they get from taxes to common man.....
The salary to the Government staff is very much high. The common man suffers alot.The coolies are not organised sector.There is no one to highlight their difficulties. Let us tax more the salaried people and the businessmen and even middlemen.John paulfsc
Taxes were invented to take from the rich and help the poor survive . The tax focus now seems to have to be take from the poor and fill the deep pockets of the rich and the Politicos.We seem to see daily scams not in the lacs but thousands of crores. Please dont tell me that Indians are such fools that the tracking of such huge amounts cannot be done. If a salaried or middle class person buys more than 2lakhs in FD\'s , buy a bigger car for our family or take an international holiday we get a notice of proof of fiunds from the Income tax. When the ownwer of DB kept flying to Dubai (in his private jet )was the Govt sleeping. Frankly we first need to make it mandatory for all voters to be at least metric pass before authorizing them to vote. Secondly ot sould be made mandatory for all poitictions to have a degree or some qualification to occupy a certain post in the govt. Please note being of Political Lineage does note have an auto qualification and thirdly we need to have a retirement age of 60 years for all politicos. WE SHOULD HAVE A YOUNG LEADER AS WE ARE A YOUNG NATION ( no offence to Dr Singh he is a great man but as an advisor)
India as got 30 mn assesses for 1180 mn population and also the lowest tax to GDP, only salaried class pays tax otherwise the business rich who make up bulk of our population who have wealth do not pay tax, it is time all in india are treated equally
