No need at all to increase the taxes any more on any category of people. Instead the super rich should be involved in social welfare projects under watchful eyes of independant observers appointed by FICCI -- ASSOCHM-- etc. These projects should be scattered all over India and in different arenas. All these projects should be run by independant qualified professionals with no profit no loss basis. In this way super-rich or the corporates can pay back to their motherland.
May I know how many type taxes we are paying? paying for for road. paying for property. paying for water. paying for purchase. paying for employment. paying for education. there are so many other........ then income tax for what? for swiss bank accounts????
Take clue on this from almost every business house of India barring few like TATA. Ambanis are best example, who dupe, introduce corruption and amass personal wealth so much so that it has become their habbit and character to evade public property, loot tax money and built record breaking mansions for them or get national rules changed in their favor while rest of common men are like non existent or pest for the rich and those in power and politics. India too needs Egypt kind revolt against these people and politicians. They have crossed limits...the black money of the country has become bigger than income of entire common men of this country for so many years!
Absolutely ! In most cases, the super rich have become super rich not without doing many things destroying other human beings, robbing or even killing them and their businesses. So, yes they must pay higher taxes. Choose some 50 already known rich people. But, more impoortant it is to force all the scamsters, criminals, goondas, corrupt ministers, lawyers, judges, bureaucrats and all such people to pay may be ten times the tax and correspondingly reduce the tax on honest people earning livelihood through a job.

Tax evaders are politicians/govt. servants who are minting money. Name any industrialist/rich who has evaded tax except matter of interpretation.

Agarwal saheb your own Vedanta agarwal to Ambanis are biggest tax evaders. Just learn about them how they steal taxes money, from duty tax to import tax to export tax to income tax they evade everything. In fact company has one department hired to do all these stuffs smoothly. In Delhi alone from smallest to biggest businessman, they prefer to do business in hard cash, perefer to avoid paper owkrs as small as making pucca bill. And if you ask they ask you to pay for the extra money. Now you tell me how many government employees evade taxes...also let me know if you know any way a government or salaried person whose income is well known to IT, can evade taxes. Don't mix bribing here..even bribes are paid by business people who introduced the policy of corruption and appeasement to get their job done. Wash yourself with your head.

A simple parchoon wala is not even free from corruption. From wholesale he buys the thing on retail rate or lower. But while selling it he tries his best to sell it on MRP, and that too without making any firm bill cash memo! And no body knows how much margin he earns, though every one knows how much stealing he does every day!

Murliji, you must be having many shops around you may be 500 known to you, just judge how many are earning(not sales-profit) more than Rs.1000/- per day. may be hardly 20 or 50. today cost of peon to govt. is Rs.30,000 p.m. how majority is thief, actually he is surviving by way of this tact. similarly if business/industrialists do business with typical govt. working, inflation will again be double. Ok take 2 G case, what will happen to around 2 lacs employees employed by the companies to deliver the services, has anyone thought, people in govt. deptt. is safe upto 60 years of age and talk all rubbish. Actually our country requires drastic political and administrative reforms, no one is interested to do it.
The super rich should be made to spend 20% of their income on social causes like schools, colleges, hospitals in rural areas. They should be given tax exemptions for such spendings.

No sir, let us decide the per centage by simple arithmetic in such a way that the super rich continue to live their lifestyles, but are prevented from amassing wealth. That may require that they pay 90% tax and still live a luxurious life.
If you simply tax the rich more, they will find the ways to tax evasion. Rather find some constructive ways which forces them to invest in basic infrastructure of the country, particularly in remote and poorer areas, thereby lifting the poorest to upward in the ladder. Also middle class needs to be handled in such a way that it facilitates rise of the poorest of the poor by getting engaged in local enterprises.
First the Govt should bring in more accountability for their acts and the money that they raise through taxes at present to else even if you tax super rich (bad idea) it wont make any difference.

That is true. Look at the budgets, they always provide a lot of useless expenditure on things India can do without. What India needs are still very, very basics. The shrewd govts. have always ignored this fact and made money available wherever they can get the fattest kick backs. Will any body ever be able to see how many trillions we have lost thus during the past 5 budgets of that curnning, bluffer of a Finance Minister and that counterfeit economist of a PM
