BEST TAXATION IDEAS
by PEARS on Feb 15, 2011 12:04 PM

THERE SHOULD BE NO TAXES ON PEOPLE GETTING INCOME OF RS 3 LACS AND ABOVE AND CERTAINLY NO WEALTH TAX ON PEOPLE ABOVE ONE CRORE
FOR INCOME THE GOVT SHOULD TAX THE POOR AND LOWER MIDDLE CLASS AS WHAT THEY ARE DOING ALL THESE YEARS POST INDRA GANDHI DAYS.
CONG UNDER INDRA WAS FOR THE PUBLIC AND MASSES.
NOW CONG FROM 1991 WITH RAO AND SINGH WERE FOR PRO RICH AND ANTI POOR .
SO RICH PEOPLE LIKE KARUNA , MARAN , AND RAJA CAN BE RELIVED OF TAXES AND MAY BE SHOWN ROUTE TO SKY HIGH LEVEL OF REACHING THE WEALTH.

ITS GOING TO BE HELL AS LONG AS MAN MOHAN, G RANGARAJAN AND MONTEK AND CHIDAMBARAMA AND PRANAB ARE THERE AT CENTRE

taxing the super rich.....
by sudhir sood on Feb 15, 2011 12:03 PM

the super rich are also the super corrupt; buying cars worth lacs and now even crores when the majority can't even afford bicycles or motor cycles; this is the most vulgar display of wealth; the government is being controlled by these crooks so the waste of recources for such conspicious consumption also can't be stopped; italian standards add to the problem and sardar incompetence too. Sorry India and Indians

even a roadside
by chintan jhunjhunwala on Feb 15, 2011 12:01 PM

even a roadside teawallah should come in the tax net with the annual tax returns to be filed on rs.160000/-.instead of these stupid articles just bring back the billions stowed away in tax havens and confiscate the whole amount.instead of making it taxable.

Truth is Indian Public is chor and corrupt don't give then any tax exemption.
Percentage of people paying income tax in India is 0.8% of the total population rest all 90% Indians show there annual income below tax lemit.Truth is that 90% of common man Indians don’t pay correct Income Tax.My Uncle is running a Mom & Pop Store in Tier II city, i know very well how much he earns and how much he pay tax My Uncle earns 20000 to 25000 per day but pay zero tax.

Rationalization of Incom tax
by Ravi on Feb 15, 2011 11:54 AM  | Hide replies

More tax slabs required to cover large section of population. It has been seen worldwide that lower tax slabs results in better compliance and higher tax collection. Instead of 10, 20 and 30% slabs, more slabs, starting from 2% and going upto 30% can be made . 30% slab should be for incoms above 50 lac. IT department must also see that there is better compliance from non salaried people like traders, professionals like doctors, lawyers, CAs. there is huge tax evasion from this section although their earnings are much higher compared to average salaried persons.

corruption is a different issue and must be tackled at all levels. Our netas and bureucrats are corrupt but so is the general public. In case of incom tax, there is huge tax evasion, barring the salaried people who can't do anything . If you look at the incom of shopkeepers, doctors in private practice, it is much more then they declare . Most of them probably declare not more then 25% of their actual incom which is mostly in cash and can be easily hidden.

What? low tax/GDP ratio by world standards.
by VIJAY SINGH on Feb 15, 2011 11:52 AM

We are low on governance. Most of the Tax money is going to please netas, buying of franchise, subsidy etc. More tax will give comfort to them only. Cannot you see every system is in shamble; education, health, public transport to name some.
