Overpopulation and profits
by Chandran KR on Oct 27, 2010 06:43 PM  | Hide replies

The problem is India is overpopulated. The so called huge percentage of youngsters when compared to other countries is actually being exploited by IT/BPO MNCs, because more youngsters unemployed and on the road begging means more competition to get into these companies which in turn means less pay and more profits for the companies. Now you know why these people keep on advocating why India and the large population of youngsters is good for India. Actually it is good not for India but for these companies.

but the way these guys and gals behave will put bill gates to shame. They have their lunch at Ginger, Snacks at Coffee Day and Dinner at McDonald. They think the world is in their palm. Have scant respect to elders and laws of the land. They forget, they are indeed not doing a white collar job but only polishing the americans to enjoy these ephemeral fantasies.

utter hypocrisy.Infy is pioneer in body shopping. If infy can provide an environment for innovation instead of doing body-shopping and managed-services, who would leave india.

India's No. 1 Hypocrite
by Kes Som on Oct 27, 2010 06:42 PM

What a shameless guy - after having made a fortune body-shopping people to US, he now wants youngsters to stay in India. Few months ago he was pontificating about how IT companies should not get tax breaks, while Infosys happily avails of all the tax breaks.

After making a fortune body-shopping people to US, this guy wants youngsters to now "settle in India". I remember how sometime ago he was pontificating on how IT companies should not get tax-breaks while Infosys was taking all the tax-breaks it could.

Why US?
by Srinivas R on Oct 27, 2010 06:38 PM  | Hide replies

NRN has not done anything to promote Indian. He should have come up with s/w in Indian languages to replace English and beat down English domination. That way more people would have learnt Indian languages and stayed in India. He is instead, asking and advicing govts to come up with more and more english schools. He is also against India keeping Kashmir, he wants it to be given up. Such people should not be in key positions in the govt.

So what he has contributed to the society? After becoming multimillionaire all he has done just advice.Yeah..right, as it costs nothing. If US means nothing why their stocks goes up and down after getting less biz from USA. Why they are so concerned with $ value.

Mr. Murthy it is very easy to advice (my 6 yr old son can do that too) but being in power and has the capability do something for the country not just only talk.

pls understand the difference btw business and contribution. Ask NRM to 1. adopt some villages to give better education to young people. 2. Ask him to run a school/college/ hospital without any fee. 3. Ask him to bring business for the non-eglish speaking people (in kashmir, bihar, orisa) 4. Share his profit (some percentage) with the poor.
