India's problem is these arm chair elite bureaucrats are immersed in egoism that they build castle in the air with no foundations. Why doesn't Jaimini spend a year in Mumbai slums?

India`s century - a soothing, popular fallacy
by daniel thorat on Apr 03, 2010 08:17 PM  | Hide replies

The reason why India is where it is after 63 years after getting its independence is the fat-salary-earning experts in banking, economy, and assorted experts/consultants who misled the country. Every single project feasibility report paints a rosy picture. Then, why do projects fail? And while all this is happening, why are the rulers i.e. the ruling party MPs, Ministers, MLAs, Govt. officers, police,judiciary and of course the big businessmen going ahead, entering the billionnaire and trillionnaire clubs ? One good war from any of our two neighbouring country will dstroy all the rosy picture painted by this stupid talk of India`s century etc.

where is the disscussion of woman reservation in panchayat?
by rahul mishra on Apr 03, 2010 07:44 PM  | Hide replies

where is the disscussion of woman reservation in panchayat?it is not community participation? it is gender bias......pshycological barriers that woman and man are not equal..........mausi editor must be knowing this........it is not about wealth generation but empowerment of woman in every sphere of life..........make them decision making process. 50 percent reservation is very good step.........need of hour is to educate the women about their right. even poor woman are excercising their right.........but it is the man hagomay to rule. which is the cause. pshedo boxing........using woman for just to run the show........

IT IS ABSURD TO THINK THAT THIS CENTURY WILL BE OF INDIA IN REFRENCE TO GDP. MAY BE THIS CENTURY (or) EVEN NEXT DECADE of 2020 - 2030 and FURTHER BELONG TO INDIA DUE TO:
* HIGHEST POPULATION IN THE WORLD OVERATKING CHINA.
* HIGHEST POPULATION IN THW WORLD IN A BNATION SURVIVING ON LESS THAN A DOLLAR (US DOLLAR@ Rs.100/-) PER DAY.
* HIGHEST EDUCATED and UNEDUCATED UNEMPLOYMENT IN A COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.
* etc., NANDAN

I don't understand why do not you do something yourself instead of just seeing the minuses...i must say you seem like a real pessimist...i understand that the picture is not really so rosy but tell me,...........except for just looking at the minuses...what have you done????? May I tell you why India lags behind in crucial areas such as Education and Infrastructure...its because we, the citizens just do nothing except for asking the govt. to do everything.....we just do not want to do anything...but just reap the benefits....we ourselves throw waste paper on the ground and then complain that our cities are dirty.....instead of seeing the minuses of India's phenomenal growth, just do something...instead of complaining that India will have a large population of illiterates...why don't you teach some underprivileged children in your neighbourhood Now you don't have the time.......

Dude go to the villages and you will know what pessimissm means. There is no need to teach children. It is enough that you pay taxes. It is the govts job to use that money properly. They are stealling it instead of using it properly. If this is so difficult to understand then you were dropped on your head when u were small.
