I agree lot of countires look at us with respect. But when it comes to EU and US , it's a part of game to curb china. I admire China as a country ..people just love their nation and do whatever it takes to make it a great country. Why don't we love our country the same way .. we have everything except a motive to make us(India) feel. Please try to be honest in everyhting whatever you do..and that's way we can be proud on ourself.

Mr Rastogi, i too admire China a lot. More in the manner they handle and treat traitors within. Tough and hard, they handle traitors who derail and harm the nation's polity with a brutal firmness. Do we do that?

Our bane is well oiled confluence of traitors within. We need to chuck out these traitors within our nation. Sitting here in India they eat Indian food and enjoy all the comforts of life. Later they have no hesitation in playing devious games to harm our nation.

No guesses whom i am talking off - many M's

China is integrated under the single language and so patriotism is very high. Our country Hindustan is divided in the name of location, religion, language, caste, community, etc and so integration is missing. Remember Hindustan is NOT at all a single country, its a combination of more than 600 small kingdoms and so integration of people in our country is a 7th Wonder

I do not think that language is an issue = a small country like Switzerland operates with 4 languages. It is simply unwillingness of Indians - particularly 40% population that speaks Hindi - to acknowledge the other Indian languages. They do not want to learn other Indian languages at all. Even if they respect the other languages it would bring a lot of harmony. Many of them think that the other languages need not exist. Also, China has a lot of languages and dialects - it is simply that we do not know - we know only about Mandarin - there is Cantonese several other dialects in China and it is dominated by the Han Chinese which gives you an impression that they are united.

People in China, North Korea, Cuba all look very patriotic.. Do they have another option.. Do they have the right to speak against the party leaders who control the wealth of the country.. Actually no one understands how we have put up a united face to the world inspite of hundreds of differnt languages, religions, castes etc etc.. We have the same problem of lot of money in the hands of the few.. but no one stops you from working hard and succeeding in life..

Command respect
by Govind Lal on Jul 01, 2010 07:27 PM

India commanded respect with our first nuclear test in 1974. The so called great powers started meetings after meetings in secret locations to devise ways to stop India proceed further in developing nuclear technology. That FORUM later named as NSG. Look at the way things happened. Now we bow before the NSG for their approvals for any further development in nuclear technology by India. This is the contribution made by the present Congress.
Now the so called great powers are trying to put India in a DEBT TRAP of unimaginable spread and depth. India at present is signing between doted lines for favours. What respect are we talking about? Do we command any respect by signing between dotted lines?
The great powers respect China because of their love for the country and self esteem. A great diplomat was deputed in the night to meet the leader of China. This is history. The leaders should talk for the nation. They should love the nation. They should love the Indians. That is the way to command respect. Not by signing between dotted lines.

India signed n-deal with Canada with abundant Uranium deposit. But they do not plan to build new N-plants. The Darlington Nuclear Generating Station, the last plant built in Canada, was five years behind scheduled when it was finished in 1993. Its price tag ballooned to $14-billion from $5-billion. They wanted to build two reactors at Darlington n-facility but is on hold now. But the single tender by AECL was too high by many Billions. At the moment the proposal is on hold – reason high cost, cost escalation, uncertain period of construction and safety aspects.
In the mean time the corporate world is trying to make Billions or trillions. There is a suspected conspiracy. The Canada govt is trying to sell 51% or all its holdings to private players hoping to get more business from world market. Incidentally the WORLD MARKET here at present is mainly India. Very soon AECL will be sold to private players. AREVA and Westinghouse are interested to buy AECL. The NPCIL (Nuclear power Corporation of India) had signed MOUs etc with these corporate to build N-plants. The Indian govt has ideas to sell NPCIL to private players. With all probability AREVA and Westinghouse will own both AECL and NPCIL. Nobody is aware of the details of tenders received by NPCIL and the MOUs signed by government of India and NPCIL. Everything is done under the shroud “CONFIDENTIAL’. This will be a deceptive move to put India in a debt trap of unimaginable spread and d

It may be interesting to know the men involved in the following
Who stopped R&D in Uranium exploration? and when?
Who surrendered the sovereignty and freedom to foreign countries by signing the N-deal?
Who ordered to have Uranium based nuclear plants without ascertaining its availability for the life of plants?
Who wish to make India a junk yard of nuclear waste?
Who is planning to take MEGA LOANS for nuclear projects with cooked up parameters?
Who is signing treaties for nuclear projects with foreign countries taking India to a debt trap?
Who spearheaded the SEZ act and preaching forcefully for it?
Who spearheaded the New Exploration Liscensing Policy and when?
Who initiated the GHAT negotiations and when?
Who arranged to sign the ASEAN FTA without the consent of his party and Parliament?

Congress has nothing to do with rising price. They already have their tummy swiss bank account full with poor citizens.
I don't understand on what grounds India will become a super power. Yes we are already a super power in incresing the poverty, infant mortality, mulnutrition, child abuse, rapes, corruption.. the list goes on..
A country which can't have provision to provide 2 time meals to its citizen can never become a super power.

Learn history
by Govind Lal on Jul 01, 2010 08:24 AM  | Hide replies

This is not a stupid statement, but an ignorant statement. Let Mr.Rajan read some pages in the history 16th to 19th century. Many Kings had the same feelings. The present Indians measure those kings as agents of foreign powers. They sold India in ‘piece meal’. The present scenario is sale of India in ‘whole sale’. What a pity? This is a humble request to ficci and such other organizations not to fall in line with the motives of these men who are bent to destroy India and bring back those olden years –colonial years.
Let them compile the list of take over and sale of Indian corporate to foreign monopolies. The day is not far off when we read the news that the Mittal Empire is sold to a foreign corporate. Can Mr.Rajan guarantee that it wont happen in the years to come? There may be suitable MODELS for intruding into India and finally takeover of all Indian enterprises.
It seems the govt is proceeding with several projects worth billions behind the darkness of ignorance, unnoticed by people, created by several incidents in India like SCAMS, CRITICISM,BORDER WAR,TERRORISM, ACCIDENTS, INTERSTATE DISPUTES, RELIGIOUS DISPUTE, BLAMES etc. Suspect these are creations of self interests. Govt and the media should apply their mind to expose such hidden forces if present.
CBI should investigate at random some of the agreements/issues/accidents/deals in a conspiracy angle. Read messages in the discussion board under

Indian companies are also buying conpanies overseas e.g., Tatas have bought Land Rover - Jaguar. There are many such examples.

The fact is that we have invested large resources in a dysfunctional public sector. If we want a market type economy, foreign and Indian companies should be allowed to play their respective roles.

Naxalism or Maoism did not originate today. It originated in the 50s and 60s when India was buiidling its "socialist pattern of society". Of course, there was less media scrutiny then and the rebellion was put down by the Congress.
