What a Crap! You are no JRD Mr Tata. Absolutely no ethics!
by sudip majumder on Jun 13, 2010 11:59 AM  | Hide replies

Ratan Tata is no JRD - nto even a mile close. Under him TATA has become another "business house" devoid of any social responsibilities. They were different for sure- not any more . Just see the latest Nano case. One hapless couple was about to be burnt alive with their new Nano and how TATA handled it "by managing press" and offering the couple a new nano - that's all - no apology - no accountability - no fixes. How many folks got killed by the lousiest van called SUMO - countless - Did he care , absolutely no because the life is cheap in India - faulty wheel balance of a new SUMO is not really his fault right? after all who could touch Tata in India (powerful persons are owned by them) So, please stop preaching and say "I am like other of my corrupt countrymen who love to lick on dead bodies"
Example Singur - did Tata ever try to talk to the poor villagers -NOPE. They took the refuge under the Government. And he simply left - did not give a darn to the villagers who were "brainwashed" by Mamata goons. Had it been JRD or Russy Mody - they would have bypassed Mamata Goons and talked to villagers directly - not this guy! Finally the TCS , talk about ethics - any ex TCS would vouch for the ethics or lack thereof.

Dear Mr Majumdar, one needs to KNOW before passing comments. I worked with the Tatas - my best job stint till date. During my tenure, I met with a severe accident while on holiday, where I lost my husband (who was also with the Tatas - a different company tho), and was so severely injured myself that I was bedridden and then at home for 6 months with a child who was less than 18 months then. As I was on leave, it was beyond the call of the Company to help me out, but help they did..... My salary continued to come in, 2nd of every month - because I had injured my right hand and could not sign cheques - so it would be credited into a personal a/c which had an ATM Card facility. My physio therapy bills which were almost 50% of my monthly salary then, were also picked up by the Company. My job was NEVER at stake. I wonder how many of you - the Tata Detractors even comprehend what that stability means. None in India can better the Tatas. A great house who are committed to their employees. To sit on the fence and comment like you is EASY. Experience them before u even talk. Today, almost 10 years down the line, I pick up a Tata Indica when I have to invest in a car. Such is the loyalty to the brand. Not too sure if people like you who have no taste of the ground reality will ever understand.....

Mr Tata, for every 1 Mr Majumder there are uncountable ones like me, who will extend their 100% support for all your endeavours. Keep the Tata flag flying.

i feel like bowing down to him instead of other celebrity who has given us fantasy, but no concret things that raise our life standard. Tata created income for indian family. created wealth for family, indian society. Indian middle class is also very driven. they dont want to west time in blaming, gossoping, poltics. they believe in action. making our life smooth, easy.

The more you say about Mr Ratan Tata is less. The much has been done by the Group for the country and its people. There are very few organizations in the world who do business with eithics, and one of them is Tatas. He deserves a Bharat Ratna. He is only Indian who gave fitting reply to British by taking over 3 large corporations and employing over 50000 whites under Indian management.

Sir, You are a Businessman yet a kind, noble HUMAN BEING
by anuradhakumari on Jun 12, 2010 01:23 PM  | Hide replies

Sir,

Whatever you did for the victims of Mumbai 26/11 is really remarkable. Very few Businessmen has a GUTS to do that!

I always value the ethics and work culture and Human approach of TATA Group/ Empire!
"TATA" is the ONLY name/ brand which instill a sense of PRIDE, SELF - CONFIDENCE of Indians and command their respect.
What TATAs did for the country and people before Independence (setting of a Steel Plant in one of the backward region of the country of that TIME) and after independence also, like setting of IISc, TIFR, Tata Hospitals, etc., is remarkable.
Having an unblemish record! TATA Group showed that Business can be done and profit can be achieved WITHOUT CORRUPTION!

The whole country salutes you!
History will remember you (and the Group) not just as a Big Businessman but a Kind and Noble Person!

May other businessmen learn few things from you (After all money is not everything and great men should not run too much after money)
