Below is snipset of the SEZ labour act 2005. There was no opposition by BJP or not that much. Congress is autocratic. Aruna's view are correct. Either we should have labour law or strong unions. If we do not have, somebody will cheat India.
"Provided that nothing contained in this section shall apply to any modifications of any Central Act or any rules or regulations made thereunder or any notification or order issued or direction given or scheme made thereunder so far as such modification, rule, regulation, notification, order or direction or scheme relates to the matters relating to trade unions, industrial and labour disputes, welfare of labour including conditions of work, provident funds, employers’ liability, workmen’s compensation, invalidity and old age pensions and maternity benefits applicable in any Special Economic Zones."
SIR, DEGRADDIND SO CALLED MIDDLE CLASS IN ITS TOTALITY IS NOT JUSTIFIED. THEY ARE, WHERE THEY ARE BECAUSE OF ACUTE STRUGGLE AND MOST OF THEM HAVE COME UP FROM POOR BASE.ALSO NO BODY WOULD LIKE TO BE IN THE SAME STATE AND ALL WOULD STRIVE TO GO UP ATLEAST ONE KNOTCH HIGHER.SO ANY STATE BASICALLY BE OF TEMPORARY NATURE .SK AGRAWAL
In India there are places like defence installations where people are not allowed to move in and these installations control huge amounts of lands. That is acceptable for security reasons but why SEZs? Using force the government is grabbing villages all together and giving them to private companies...this is totally unacceptable. The same is happening in Andhra Pradesh. Every Indian has the right to choose the place of his liking and earn it and live in it. How can the government just snatch away our homes where we are living for generations in the name of a SEZ? Not acceptable against the constitution. If the Private organisations do not stop this over action and cut down they ugly market desires soon there is going to be a revolt. These are the things that create unrest and maoists sneak into these issues and make it impossible for solutions.
This lady is one of the pioneers of the groups claiming to be the saviours of the downtrodden and in return get cheap publicity. These people are exhibitionists of sorts. What this lady is able to do for the poor that she would not have been able to do as an IAS officer is probably that she can use her right of speech to any extreme. She says SEZs dont pay for water and electricity.. I think whatever she had learnt during her administrative service career.. however short it may be.. she has forgotten completely. She has actual;y no idea of what she is talking about..

What will she get from publicity. Just try to get whatever good is there from what ever she is trying to express, why to attack her personally?

Access to audit the workmen condition, basic facility as well to make sure that laws concerning the same is adhered to. Firstly the act binding special economic zone needs to be addressed for its unconstitutional nature. She is just on awareness programme and acts will follow later.

SEZ is part of India, Fort William is not. But, ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) will have access to anything in US soil which can or does violate the constitution.
Case in point, that is the reason George Bush chose Guantanamo bay, a part of Cuba occupied by US (not technically part of US) for people.

Each land has its own rules. In india SEZ is created to speed up process which is working well. So there is no need to change it

SEZ is private area, somewhat like any industry. nDoes she get unrestrictd access to any factory she wants to get into? Blabbering Rubbish
but y they want furtile agricultural land. cant they build the sez on barren lands unutilised. it vl affect the scarcity of food items, n rise in price of commodities which v r already facing.

But, that is the point, they want the best of the land at the cheapest prices. They will sit on that land for 20 years and sell it back again at 100 times the price. The leader and industrialists will make a cut and the common man will suffer.

We dont want you in our country. You are r_ascist, and do not make any sense. That is precisely why you keep ranting.
My advise to you is to live like a tribal in a forest and never come out to post a comment. You can do that for millions_of_years_of_tribal_living_without_exploitative_capitalism,
