don't go looking for support from Indians or Indian govt when ur brown a$s gets racially targeted when u r driving a cab in Canada...
500 new cities and where are you going to build them. one can not just clear a jungle and build city or go to a barren piece of land. city has to be close enough to all other cities and in an area with resources. It the wake of this lot of fertile and food producing land will be just concreted over and rendered useless and unproductive. what India needs is a control of population first. The myth of having a son id the first obstacle that should be removed. India is an only country where women from the age of 60 upwards are queuing for IVF so that they can bear a son.WHAT FOR AT THAT AGE.

Govt. will tell them that the cities being built are primarily for minorities.... they will agree to it immediately

You are just changing color and may be opting few number down. I spent couple of years in Canada and found several issue. Anyway decided to go back to india.

I dont think so, nearly 2 million Indians are well settled in Canada , they dont want to come back to shitindia at ANY cost, I know and talked to many, they are doctors and engineers and are ready to drive taxis there but NOT come back

it is the people that make a place. canada wasn't what it is, the canadians made it that way. i am sure their were whiny candians like yourself, but they were all eventually crushed my progress and development. and just for the record, i for one am so glad you do not live in my country India. and pls, never come back. if you lose your taxi even in canada, pls send us a note, we will send you some money so you never even think of coming back here under any circumstances. god bless india.

It is useless to get the so called independence and giving it to politicians. British could have developed many Hong Kongs here if we would have stayed with them. Only with English, we achieved some thing in the last 10 years. British developed the railway network and other infrastructure in India.

Let every State govt. make a semi -govt company with Initial invest ment of 2000 Crores. List the company in the Indian Share market and sell the shares and attract public investment.
Select 5 - Cities in each state. Using that money build an Airport and Connect the city with Rail and roads.
Divert all new Companies and new Foregin investments to that cities. Give tax benifits all MNc's , Colleges, Schools who wish to start a branch in the newly formed cities.
Maintain the cost of living the newly formed city lesser than the metros.
you will see people migrating the newly formed cities instead of metros.

Idea is good, considering that intention of doing this is formalised and the interest of moving forward is shown by Government - Central and state Governments.
india will be a good example in future to show how democracy can fail our diversity is becoming our adversity with too many people , leaders and opinions and no progress.. democracy is being stretched too far in india and the gradual failure and slow failure is fully visible..in our cities..deteriorating much faster than any visible progress.. we can see easily see far more deterioration in cities for any visible progress..
who has brains, b@lls and heart. No dumb lackey sardar, no ponga cunning pandit, no chamar or chamarin, no attar-stinking mullah and definitely no fake commie can develop India as a unified country till we have a real Indian as a leader.
What Prahlad is saying is nothing new. In fact, we'd never need 500 additional cities if the countries resources were spent on providing efficient systems in the villages and smaller towns. I'd not have left my village and left for a city because cities are filthy and polluted.
