Simply transfer all surplus staff to Indian Railways. As it is, under the 'able' leadership of Mr. LP Yadav in the past and now Ms. M Banerjee, IR has been making profits lately. They can do with a few more staff to bring out the 'smooth talking' & 'non working' image to IR. And with IR staff already 14L large, a few AI staff will be a mere drop in the ocean. :-)

Dear-these Biharis and Bengalis take rly ministry to ensure their vote bank by way of appointing people from their area in abundance.
* he must give 10% of project value as commission aka party fund to govt irrespective of the political party in Government. * he must spend 20% on local goons and Govt Officials so that they do not DELAY, DISRUPT and DESTROY the project work * he gets 20% profit before tax.
Hence only 50% is spent on the project. And in extreme cases, it is just 17% as Rajiv Gandhi had openly acknowledged.
Govt. and Minister as usual is playing drama, simple formula, spend as per your pocket, but all employees know that ultimately Ministry will support and fund, why they should budge, nothing can be achieved without fear, fear of job and fear of reduction in salary is the first criteria to get the results, and on management part, it is only cost reduction, which private does as and when need arises. Both killing insticts are missing.

Air India is suffering due to very high imbalance in PLI structure since 1996 after Capt. D. Mathur, the then MD of Air India had arbitrarily increased hugely (just before his retirement) the salary of Pilots, because he himself and his 2 sons and son-in-law had belonged to this category. After this, immediately agitation started by Air India AMEs and they demanded parity with Pilot’s Salary. These AMEs refused to certify Aircraft in time mentioning technical fault in the aircraft which is totally false, but in the Airport tarmac they are the king and the only person who has the authority to check/certify the aircraft. So, there was nobody at the tarmac to verify these disgruntled AMEs’ bluffing . As a results all flights were delayed/cancelled in Mumbai and Delhi airports causing tremendous harassment to the innocent passengers. This thing continued few months and ultimately Mr. Brijesh Kumar, the then MD of Air India bowed to these disgruntled AMEs and introduced PLI for them to the tune of 1 lakh to 1.5 lakhs per month whereas other officers/staffs were given PLI in the range of 1500 to 15000. The most pathetic fact is that most of these AMEs are not having any Engineering degrees and their academic carrier are very poor in compare to other officers/staffs who are doctors,CAs, MBAa from IIMs and B. tech/BE from IITs and other A Grade Institutes. Since these AMEs had power to create nuisance and can harass passangers by not certifying the aircraft in time

what are you saying man...... seems you are a very disgruntled old man with no knowledge about anything. please go back to studying.... find out who does what and make a success of yourself. THEN comment.
The men to machine ratio of Air India is HIGHEST in the world .These staff members including cabin and flying crew should be paid as per the other industry norms .Paying 2.5 to 5 lakhs to a 12th pass Pilot is not justified .High time , AI should take the things seriously and remove 60% of their staff immediately .How long these non productive flying crew would like to suck the tax payers money .Look at the perks given to these people – free 5 star hotel , flying bonus , productivity bonus ( HA ! ) free pick up and drop ( any 12th pass fit for a peon job never dream of free travel ) free Foreign Exchange and free Passes for entire family any where in the world . How do you think the airline will survive . Remove min. 60% Flying staff and see the difference . GOVT. SHOULD NEVER GIVE ANY FINANCIAL AID .Has Govt. given any financial help to Satyam ?

So you mean to say that had the 12th pass pilot studied till bachelor's level he would have flown the plane better? That is a very stupid comment to make.

Rants are good if they are funny. But this one is not. It is quite pathetic. A persons education is not limited to their graduating from 10th, 12th, Bachelors etc. The pilot has attained skill in addition to what he or she studied in regular school. You have to give them credit for that.
Simply ranting on one aspect of their education and comparing them to someone else does not make an argument.
Last point - total freeze on providing further rights to foreign carriers. In addition, again to call all foreign carriers and to restrict the number of airports of their operation. Each foreign carrier should not be allowed to operate to more than 3 or maximum of 4 airports in India, e.g. Emirates from Dubai should be allowed to operate to BOM / DEL / MAA / BLR or 4 airports of their choice. Similarly, Air Arabia from Sharjah should be allowed only 4 airports. This will provide AI / IC / Jet Airways / Kingfisher to maximise their utilisation to the Gulf Point, will bring more revenue for all the airlines.

NOT ONLY SACK THE UNPRODUCTIVE FLYING CREW BUT RECOVER AT LEAST 60% OF WAGES PAID TILL NOW
