to facilitate all the change and also whatever restructuring is there to be done economically and country getting the maximum, first the minister should be asked to leave.
Air India should cut all surplus staff. Thats one way to save the airline. Else, cancel licenses for all private airline companies and make Air India as the only airline for domestic. Then you will see railway making more profit... :)
Sack Praful Patel and make lalua the aviation minister. He is free these days. This way he will stop commenting on Nitish and others. Secondly, if he can bring AI to life, good for teh country, else in any case this airline will extinct.

first sack and then talk. simple. no one from pawar party should be there in the cabinet otherwise country and the people end up losing
I used to travel by Air India from 1964-1986. I stopped going by Air India because: 1. Air India staff are arrogant and unhelpful. 2. When a uneducated pasenger ( often a mother) needs help, Air India staff brush off requests, treat them like dirt. 3. Now that there are so many other choices, people go by Air lines that they feel treat them better. However, nowadays Airlines like Lufthanza are no better. 4. Air needs to educate the staff and ask them not to kill the goose ( passengers) that lay the golden eggs. They need to build their Indian clentle.

I think you mean "non-English" speaking passenger. Talking in Hindi or Tamil does not make one "uneducated".

Un-educated doesn't mean literacy here, it's like even belt tightening is un-education for a person if he doesn't know chill man
One who made Railways from loss making to 25000 cr. profit is out of ministry and one who turned Air India to a loss of 5000 cr. is proudly holding his ministry!

Who will buy an Airlines in this market when the so called competent private airlines are making loss?
I have received a Annual Report of Air India and Indian Airlines ending 31/3/2009, wherein if you micro analysis the same you will find that there is the companies required skilled management people, without the interference of Mr. Praful Patel, comming from the Bidiwala Family. The more dangerous is that he is great follower of Sharad Pawar, whos closed relative Mr. Padamsingh Patil, is in custody of CBI in murder case of Congress leader. The airlines recruitment and promotion is big fraud, committed by NCP leaders. There must be kickback in purchase of Rs.50,000 Crs, which is under the guidence of Sharad Pawar, and everybody is aware the fantastic track record of this so called Maratha leader. He is only person responsible for backward ness of Maratha Communities. There is negligible % in IAS cader, even the SC ST OBC are doing well and having m0re than 30% in IAS. This is because of Sharad Pawar the % of Maratha community is less in IAS. Therefore PM wants to improve the condition of state owned Air lines, PM must remove Bidiwala forthwith, otherwise like NCDC, which is on closer, the Air India and Indian Air Lines will close by Sharad Pawar, very shortly. yes i will help you alone cant do it becuz pawar will pay you off also and take you on his side.
The rot has not set in overnight and cannot be attributed to any single factor. Best way to revive is to allow Air India/Indian Airlines to function as the competition does - run as commercial ventures. I'm of the view that separate brands ('Air India' & 'Indian') should be retained. But will the politicians (Ministers) and the self-serving bureaucrats allow this? Then their cronies will be deprived of undue advantages like free travel. In fact, due to pliant bureaucrats are the politicians able to mismanage the affairs of all PSUs.
