Sidhant,

Can you explain why these OUTSIDERS were so successful in Mumbai and not any other city?

You can find gujarati and marwari business people all over India but they are most successful in Mumbai!

Can you explain why?

If you think it is just the business people who have made Mumbai prosperous, why don't you take them to your state?

They should be able to do for any state what they have done for Maharashtra! But can they??

Your stats are wrong(cf Govt Stats)
by sar des on Nov 07, 2008 01:30 AM  | Hide replies

“UP's per capita income is the lowest in India, only after Orissa and Bihar”
UP is 21st form 28 states in income, 7 states are poorer than UP (Govt. of India data 2007). Western UP is richer and more advanced than eastern Maharashtra and the central parts are OK and developing very fast. West UP(within 200 kms of Delhi and Haryana)looks much better than Mumbai in fact. I think that it is a few eastern districts only from where most migrant come. So, why do the poor in Maharastra not go to Mumbai? Probably Mumbai is projected as the dream city in the Hindi movies making it more attractive, which it is not. Top cites by income are Chandigarh and Delhi(Govt. data 2007, about Rs. 5000 per person per month) followed by Ahmedabad and Bangalore.Top 4 states by income are Gujrat, Maharashtra, Punjab and Haryana.

If you know all this, why do you go to Mumbai?

You are like a r-pe victim, who wants to go back to the r-pist after getting r-ped!!

Divisive Logic Part I
by sar des on Nov 07, 2008 01:21 AM  | Hide replies

1. All people pl. vacate Mumbai. It was developed by the British and everyone else came to it.
2. North Indians should vacate north and go back to Harappa and Mohanjodaro from where they came about 4000 years back.
3. Americans and Australians have to go back to Euorpe from where they came.
4. Marathis themselves came from North India and central Asia many thousands of years back. Why not go back?
5. Everyone, esp. all Indians and Europeans came from Africa 80 000 years back. Everyone pl. go back to Africa.

What should—

--Malaysia and Singapore do with 7.5% Indians?
--UK do with about 5% South Asians, mostly Indian and Pakistanis?
--US do with more than 3 million Indians?
--Kenya and Uganda do with Indian businessmen who hold much economic power there?
--What should US/Canada/EU nations do with Africans, Indians, Turkish, Paksitanis, Arabs, other Asians, Latinos, etc.?

We hear things like –“They are not integrating.”, “They do not learn our language.” “They do not respect our culture” “They do the crimes” and all. It came up in Switzerland’s elections recently and is routine across Europe and all. However, no country encourages such divisive thoughts. There is only one consistent message. We have to learn to live with diversity, with one another.

You are absolutely right!

Everybody should go back to where they came from!

That is exactly what the author of this article wants to say!

If Mumbai perishes from being a ghost city it would be a "manoos" problem and should be of no concern to UP or Bihar!

Besides, how is this for LOGIC?:

UP and Bihar drove its own people out, now it wants other states to accept what it rejected?!!

Why?

Marathis are the aborigines of Maharashtra!

Why should they go to Central Asia??

You have collected all these "facts" from books of western anthropology whose sole purpose was to create an intellectual basis for subjugating the conquered educated people of foreign lands with "scientific" explanations!

By your logic, if all life on our planet came from outer space, does it mean you are willing to go back there??

Not really. The anthropologists say that you and I and the Europeans are the same race and were all black and started from Africa long back. Weather, food and evolution changed us.

Marathi language was formed in the regmi of Great ChadraGupta II (ChandraGupta VijayGupta) the king of Magadh. By that time the language spokan was some tribal Language.

Marathi / Hindi is originated from Sanskrit. This Sanskrit grammer is written by grate Sage Panani. And Panini was pramoted by the great King of Patliputra (Patna) ChandraGupta Maurya.

Several asian inttelects used to come to Magadh (India) to study art, language, science, Medicene. The kingdom of Magadh (Bihar) has created and pramoted many intelects as Panini, Chanakya, Mahakavi Kalidas and several more.

The Goldan Days Of India are considered as the days of ChandraGupta Mauray's regmi.

Since Indian Independence, most of Indian Prime Ministers and Presidents were from Bihar and UP. They have done great work by establishing four of seven IITs close to UP and Bihar (Kanpur, Rudki, Delhi and Khargpur).

Most number of students passing out form the nation's prime technological (IIT) and medical institusion (AIIMS) are from great land of UP and Bihar.

Most number of studnets passing Indian Administrative Services are from UP and Bihar.

This means Bihar is land of intelligent and powerful people with lot of potential.

So all Biharis can go back there and again make their very own state again a PowerFul, Inteligent state. This will definitely help them to win the pride for themself than just fighting war of words with any other state people.
