The Netas and Babus are hand in hand when it comes to looting public money. The Netas dont have brains and depend on the babus to swindle the exchequer.In lieu of it,they give babus whatever they want. I am sure very soon the 6th pay commission will be announced, hiking the salaries of all Babas by several notches.In my opinion,India doesn't need so many govt officials.Govt should ONLY take care of defence,judiciary and law and order. All the rest should be privatised.Only that will lead to improvement in life for all tax paying, law abiding citizens.

Make an advertisement for recruitment of IAS with no salary, thousands will come forward to do the job and be sure they will do much better. Every body knows the perks attached to the service and huge amount available under the table. Salary is just nothing. Only a tip of the ice berge like AP Singh and Co is visible.
On the other hand ask them to join Private Company with salary 5 times their present salary. Let us see how many would join and how long they can continue in the pvt sector. After all what idea and knowledge they have got on the department they work. All expenditure on this Babus is shear waste of tax payer's money

Babus, politicians and police are the most currupted people and they earn much much much money without doing anything and still they are asking a pay rise ? Shame to this kind of babus. Babus and politicians want to enjoy with tax payer's money !!! Ha Ha Ha !!!

This is hoodwinking this government into submission. What nobody talks about is the Inflation linked pension that is lacking in the private sector.
If they want salaries like private sector, are they ready to loose their pensions as well.

When Margeret Thatcher, came to power in Britain, she said guys the budget is going to remain the same except inflation linkage. Reduce yourself to get better pays and in just one year alone, all non performing British Civil servants were out and better ones got better pays. The efficiency also improved automatically. Sometimes we dont need to re-invent the wheel, we need to look at how other people have done it, because social problems have a similar structure.
just give them what they want! otherwise they will impelement reservation for themselves in the private sector as well, this is llike paying hafta to a goon u see, other wise ur life will become helllllll

Who require you to compete if the competition is so tough, go for private sector job if that is easier & more paying. People go for the govt. job for the power & status. So, choice is for the candidates, if they prefer power, security & status, they should go for for govt. job, otherwise they should prefer private sector job.

i dnt have words... do they wats work... example : sunil mittal who wouldnt have time to eat may not spend time with children is barging into customer service calls to ensure customer delight. if an IAS or gvt servent is paid well still u will see urself paying bribe under the table as 'chay pani, mithai, haath garam' and all this. its a permamnent culture, u cant stop a fat female ass sitting on the chair and knitting sweaters. u cant stop a babu on lunch for 4 hrs or being rude. its in the system, system is from people and they dont deserve it ..it is simple

sir g, there is a diff. in your opnion because any duffer can get govt. job by paying bribe, good candidates never get a chance in govt. job if they r not able to pay bribe for job sir. in private you get paid on the basis of your capability.

Why is there a fight for a Govt job, if the pay is so less and one has to slog it out?!!!!! U have answered Ur own poser! There's ABSOLUTELY no accountability in a Govt Job. There's job security and lots of avenue for making money! Paying high can't guarantee that corruption will be eliminated! where's the end for human greed?!!!
We all know Civil Service exam is tough, but still producing a lot of incompetent officers (Few bright officers are exception to this statement). So where is the problem? The problem is not with the Babus, but with the Babudom. We need specialists, not generalists to make competent decisions in the ever changing world in the context of globalization. Age old babudom has no answer to many of the current issues.

Civil service is rthe vestiges of the Colonial times and has no purpose left in today's professional democratic world. they are like old festering wounds that need to be sugically removed. Tell me one PSU or any organisation where they have gone and the performance has improved! I would say none! The fact is that they are trained to be lords and not managers of national resources. They work for themselves and money, mostly ill gotten money. The most obnoxious of all provision is sending them to private bodies or even PSUs. They enjoy the perks of Babudom without risking their job and becoming accountable. Why should they be in Archaeological survey of India, Natioanl archives, Indian Institute of Advance study, Air India, MTNL or any such organisation? What training or aptitude do they have? Just compare their humble background and the life style they flount after say 5-10 years after in service. IAS and IPS more than any one else have lost their relevance. The most undemocratic post these people hold is that of DM. They lord over all departments including police and development works. Being an All India service people they just do not understand l;ocal aspirations and policing needs. They are aliens for at least half of their service in the state of their posting. The district level administration should be done by elected representatives and not state imposed babus. This should cover all Civil srvices of UPSC, Judcial services upto high court and all kinds of polciemen from ASI and above upto DGP.It is time the governemt expenditure is reduced ,these guys are shited in 2BHK and 3 BHK flats i a protected colony in dwarka and other such places in india in all cpaitals.All big bunglows of governemtn should be demolished and sold to public in auction aftet dividing these in 4 parts.car allowance must be given and all govt cars including red and blue lights be removed.That is how USA works.Their pay scales should start from 5000 basic to max 15000 basic .Period and normal DA and allowances including comnveyance allowance be provided excpt for Chir fsectrataries,CJIs and equivalioent.That is all.Most of police jobs can easily be handed to private agencies set up by accreduted persons, like rime invetsigations,traffic systems and MV Act and issue of all documents ot public.Let these brown unfiorm wearing guys be given alw & order job only.50% of all civil and polcie jobs should be filled by private sector executives on 3 years tenure basis and given all important public interefacing jobs including SP/SSP and IG level posts.Just beacsue some one passes one UPSC examination and then bleeds the nation for 40 eyars is not acceptable to us any more.Let people make this association immediately.

we all know,in govt depts only 30% of good staff will do 90% of work. Those who are brilliant hardworking and running country are cursing their fate as there is no recognition and career/ financial progress on the basis of their performance. Those who have joined the govt through the best comptetive exams are no doubt brilliant are obvoiusly looking for better prospects. They are just waiting for chance. There is already loss of morale and feeling belittled when compared to private counter parts and their life styles. I think u have read reports that there acute shortage of staff in several govt. tech departments because most of them have joined private sector. Obviously the same thing happens tomorrow when all intelligent people leave and left with mediocre and useless staff. Then we indian citizens have to suffer. The problem is how to get rid of unworthy staff and how to retain brilliant. Game blaming will not do any good.U may have not read civil service conduct rules. they are ugly, colonial just short of bondage rules.Are there any such rules in private sector. I am a govt servant. Do u know i have to take permission for expression of this opinion also. we will have interst to work under such rules. earlier because there are no other opportunities merits attracted for these jobs. now new generations are not at all interested because the pay and service conditions are worthless. they are saying who want these dirty jobs.
