Most of the IAS Officers do not have the competency level of those equivalent level executives in the private sector. There may be only 5 state level and central public sector companies in the whole country that are running smoothly with IAS officers as CMDs. There are many instances that many profit making public sector companies which when these IAS Officers were made as Head, went sick. And there has never been any pointing fingers and there will never be.
If we can fix accountability to an IAS officer, things can change. Their service security are the worst enemy of India. Let us do away with it, it will definitely transform our country.
There should be a survey amongst the Retired IAS officers as to how much property they own. This will say the whole truth. But this survey will never be conducted as no body is there to bell the cat.
Any organisation has profit centres,cost centres and loss centres.This also holds good for a nation.First we should find out where do the babus belong.Is there a return on the money spent on them? Or is their performance visible in any field? Let us first start with the babus in the Ministry of Health.How do we rate the conditions in the government hospitals in Delhi and who should takes the credit or blame?

dear vinay - the IAS association has asked for pay hike comparable to pvt sector - not to work as pvt sector employees. As far as Return on Money spent on them - what is this ??? they will ask you.
All these babus are illegitmate product of our government,they are not satisfied with money earned disproportionate to known source of their income,which most of them comes from reserve catagory,offcourse they will get what they want as election is round the corner.
It seems some members of the Association of IAS etc. are not getting desired hafta to keep them happy all the year round, otherwise who bothers about the monthly salary received from Government. When a Class IV employee in Civils Court/Sub Registrar office earns enough to own 3/4 house, the earnings of higher officials can only be guessed. If searhed, some govt officials may be having hard cash in possession like an ATM.
Yes they can have it on the following conditions: 1. Clear cut performance mandate 2. No security of tenure 3. No additional perks. 4. 50% reduction in head count of all non-core government departments.
I think the root cause are the britishers. They established this system - too many perks. But these were actually meant for them, because they run the establishment in India so needed to get those perks. The britishers were droven away but the perks still remain.. I believe in one thing..Get an offer letter from outside private world and take the additional hike you want..you get paid according to the market value you had ? Can the babus go out and get offer letters (Not the fake one) but from reputed companies..if they can, they should be given a jump...because only those have real market value...
if you want to improve india then f...k all babus, they are good for nothing . 1/2 of govt expenditure is on babu . Look at following numbers 1 Babu receipt dispatch 1 or 2 babu for leaves and others 1 or 2 babus for salary 1 babu for pension, gratuity or pf 2 babu to work as buffer of help sahabs 1-2 helpers for these babus 1 head babu
jahan dekho babu babu . now only one or two person can manage all above works with computers .
So fire all babus .
We may not get any responses as no babu is educated enough to use internet.
