Trasparent means they have all glass buildings, that is all. One simple example of how transparent these are is the misue of US visas by TCS.

TCS is good enough proof that Tata is not worth the ranking.

How many TCS consultants are bonded labor abroad? TCS treats them like dogs. TCS tacitly encourages money savings ways of 10 consultants in one apartment and so forth and pays them accordningly.

I am a TCSer, I am staying in Tokyo since 2 years, and I am staying alone in the flat. Also I know, if TCS accomodate then 2 person per flat, which is a 2BHK flat.
And for your kind information - the standard of flat with all the household equipments including TV, 3 ACs, Washing machine.... etc such that you can never achive those in your life. This is for your kind information. Others please do not laugh, I found no other way to explain this moron.

You shut up as you never know how this cheating company works. They made money and you see only the money power they have. They made money bycheating others. You never know how painful it is that you do all hard work use your contacts to give advance payment to for exports. For them cheating samll companies like mine is very easy. They have might and power of money.

Dont talk about social responsibility. I know how they rules over commen man where they have plantations. all the plantation land is grabed by force, or by cheating. Instead of sitting in your city and read rewies, go the places Tata have their prodution, you will know.

dubious distinction
by johnson mm on Dec 20, 2007 10:47 PM  | Hide replies

I just wonder how a compay like Tata got this distinction. At least for Tata Tea I know is a bunch of cheaters. I secured export order for their coffee from abroad with full advance paymet. They did not pay any commission as they agreed. When I asked the money they sent their auditor and he dutyfully took all the proof I had and in a week I got a legal notice !. Very clever people to cheat small people like us. I never buy any product of Tatas.
Kudos to Orient Express chain as they understands what really Tata is.
Any way my congratualtions to a buch of cheaters, in what ever way you got this???.

TCS is the most unethical company
by sajansajan on Dec 20, 2007 10:37 PM  | Hide replies

This is the biggest lie. TCS the largest company perhaps in Tata fold is the most unethical. It lies to the US government (When the TCS sends empluoyees to seek L1 visa they are told to tell consulate officer that they will be working at TCS office when everyone knows that they work at client site. They lie to their employees and harass them. One female employee was sued for getting pregnent while on deputation in US (she had to pay a big sum of money to Tata's and the case was settled outside the court). Can anyone be more ridiculous. They pay more to gori chamri in US for menial work than they pay to engineers who come from India. PPl are made to work long hours and not given holidays. They are not told about all this in the campus. Is this transparency. Moreover they say in the employment contract that all disputes can be only addressed to courts in Bombay because they know that a guy working in US (as most of their employees and ex-employees do) will not be able to fight a case in US. The biggest fraud group. And dont even talk of the bonds. Service bond, overseas deputation bond...bonds you have to sign even after you are with them for 15 years. Before you complete term of one bond they will send you out again for few months to make you sign another bond to keep attrition rate low. If a company is really good as many here say why will it need bonds. Have a brain guys and apply it. Why is there no bond at Google or Apple or Microsoft? Becoz they are good and transpareent

Forget my jelousy please explain -

WHy is per employee productivity of TCS less than Infy?

Why is its billing rate lower (dont say its not because if it were so than TCS's per employee productivity will be high too)

Why does stock market give it lesser P/E than Infy

Look at the numbers rather than raising malafide personal allegations and name calling in the typical style that your company does

Shut up Man!
No way TCS tell you to lie.
I am on L1B Visa and here since couple of here.
I never had any issue. They are robust and changing Policy time to time. Transparent and better than any other Indian company.
They have only 3 Months service Bond now. Lot of "Kamchor" like you have time to abuse nation and Indian Brand. First you do something for Indian and talk. At least TCS feeding 1L people and I proud to be TCSers.

How many Indian companies have you worked with? Do you even know procedures in other companies. Are you working at a client site? Do you even know on a L1 visa you cannot work at a client site. How do you know I am kamchor"? btw I am now employed with a much bigger and better company than TCS. You do not answer the basic question if a company is good to its employees why will it need a bond. Tell me how many good companies in IT industry have bonds? Or have you never ventured out of your well and dont know about companies like IBM, Apple and Google. There are now thousands of companies in IT working from India and all of them work for India. They all feed Indian people. IBM India, Oracle India, Google India, Infosys, Wipro whats so special about an underpaying employee exploiter who only enriches its largest shareholder Tata sons. btw r u related to rama or his nephew (becoz nepotism does run high in that company. does chandra ring a bell?).

Also do you mean everyone who leaves TCS obviously for better and bigger opportunities is a kamchor? Thats rather lame becoz then you are claiming some of the highest ranking ppl in India's IT industry are kamchors....actually kamchors stay in TCS...haha...hows that for a thought...thats why its ROE is less than Infy and Satyam

Sajan, i have worked with bigger brands as well as smaller companies but i think TCS is a nice company where employees can balance their work and life. I am happily employed with this company from last 2 years and gained a lot in terms of technical & Function exposure. I know wages are less as compared to market but its most reliable company, they have never fired its employees because of slump in market. It doesn't matter 75% shares are held by TATA SONs. I get my salary on the last working day of month without any delay. Thanks to TATA group, specially TCS, that is providing bread and butter to 1 lakh people.

News like this make my morning.
Although i haven't ever worked with TATA i dont know why i feel close to them.Wierd.
Tata's to my knowledge are socially responsible, people oriented company, they hardly done layoffs even during their bad times. Have practically re-built villages after natutal disasters.

If there is any fund called as TATA's relief fund let me know. I would sure contribute there than any other charities. What the heck i dont mind donating my few cents even for acquizations like Corus, Jaguar. etc

No doubt undoubtedly they are the real champions when it comes to ethics. Reliance should learn a lesson from Tata's. They are just growing in volumes by cheating the public and its own distributor's, franchisees who work for them. It ranks first in corrupt, cheating & COMPANY WITH NO ETHICS. Hat's off to Tata & its founder and the leader Ratan Tatajee.

Reliance is here today, will be gone tomorrow. Only ethical companies can stand the test of time. One nice case against reliance and all their wealth will vanish.

Not only the Tata Group is transparent, they have done the most for India than anyone else. Even Air India and IISc started our as Tata ventures. They also have been contributing a lot to education and charity through various philanthropies.

I think Parsis in general are very patriotic people. The reliance group has a typical baniya mentality. Isnt Mukesh building a 1000 crore house in Mumbai overlooking 1000s of slums?
