I respect the literal words she spelled to express her thoughts. I appreciate and honor the way she declared that she is an Indian and she is proud of it. I am glad that she recognized the fact that “No country is ever safe. That is because we humans are flawed”. As the writing progresses, I personally feel a hitch that somehow the words were getting redirected towards another pivotal point, Religion, especially when she took efforts to associate the discussion towards Aamir and Kiran Rao. As she said she has the freedom for expression, I am sure, I too have same freedom to express my thoughts. Referring to the “ancillary and casual” point she raised on the star duos, I still do not know the reason for Aamir’s proclaiming the subject to the world, the way he did. If I have to leave or if I am contemplating to leave the country on the grounds of cited subject, why the heck should I proclaim to the world. If my concern and inclinations are genuine, I would do it in my own will without giving notice to anyone. It was evident that the subject will be amplified to 1000 decibels if those words pop up from a person like him. He knew it, he tried that hook and it did succeed. Did you notice the way of presentation. He presented the subject as if the opinion of his spouse who doesn’t belong to his religion. actual intent of his statement. Coming back to your worries, dear madam, let me explain my thoughts. The common phenomenon of social insecurity felt by your class of gender is very genuine. This fear is existing in the minds of every females irrespective of age, cast, creed, language, food habits. But thru these prints I am convinced that your effort is to portray the subject with RELIGIOUS colors. I request you, please do not spread hate across the country on religion. As you are an Indian, me too.
Divya Nair is swerving the discussion on Amir Khan's statement in a direction where his remarks were not headed. He was referring to the intolerance for Muslims in India, as if it is very tolerant elsewhere. Why throw in the matter of safety of women in this country. This reminds me of old men/women who put forth their complaints in any conversation, whether relevant to the discussion or not.

What Divya Nair is saying is true.Ajit Vadakkayil has been arrested based on Aamir Khan Complaint since Ajit has written something wrong about Aamir Khan. Who is tolerant!
My daughter is 33 and has no fear of anything. She is 'bindas'.
A suggestion to all parents. Raise your sons to respect women. Discipline them, control their night outs and bring them up to become responsible citizens of the country. After all crimes committed against most women is by some man who is somebody's son.
As regards intolerance. I think groups of people who are opposed to Modi personally have resorted to this propaganda (that does not mean that there have not been instances of excesses in the recent past; so have there been in the past during the previous govt. too) because they have no other issue (read scams) to stir the emotions of a section of the population.
Isn't intolerance prevalent across the world, in USA, Australia, UK....? How many blacks have expressed their desire to leave USA? Have Indians stopped migrating to Australia?
Let us face the problems bravely and find solutions.

I totally agree with you Sir. These are anti modi people who don't find any issues of scams / corruption against modi govt. and hence trying to defame him with such communal issues.
The statement that India has changed in the last 6 to 8 months and it was very tolerant for all the other years after independence is what shows the purpose and the unwarrented sweeping statement that Mr Aamir Khan has made. The point here is that this intellectual class has suddenly realised that emergency, people of one community killed in Delhi, the killing of Kashmii pandits and all the other riot that happened in this was the tolerance that the congress gave to this country. Hence the anger shown by the common us the non intellectual fools that we are who don't understand the irony of this so called poor intellectual class who are crying about intolerance in this country. So before making any such statement please think of the consequence that the country has to face because of your such irresponsible comments, think what you can give to the country rather than what the country can give you. You are only creating more divide in the society and country, just think about it!!!
