Dear Writer, This is just like boxing someone because he is not close to your political Ideology. There were even worst situations during pre modi period.Las t60 years we have not seen rapes, women humiliation? dalit mass killings? Muslims killed in riots? Hindus Killed in riots? is it something happening in last 15 months only? Have counted how many positive things happened in last 15 months? I think this is political intolerance on your side. And immensely unpleasent, Unfair.

Very true, the statement that India has changed in the last 6 to 8 months and it was very tolerant for all the other years after independence is what shows the purpose and the unwarrented sweeping statement that Mr Aamir Khan has made. The point here is that this intellectual class has suddenly realised that emergency, people of one community killed in Delhi, the killing of Kashmiri pandits and all the other riot that happened in this was the tolerance that the congress gave to this country. Hence the anger shown by the common us the non intellectual fools that we are who don't understand the irony of this so called poor intellectual class who are crying about intolerance in this country. So before making any such statement please think of the consequence that the country has to face because of your such irresponsible comments, think what you can give to the country rather than what the country can give you. You are only creating more divide in the society and country, just think about it!!!

Phew!! I didn't knew that frightened peoples write such lengthy article concerned people do. Dear Ms Divya as you write this article one thing is clear that there is neither bar on freedom of speech or expression, nor society is living in fear of intolerance. There may be different perspectives for situations and people may not be intelligent enough to frame their opinion in satin language but they too have right to be heard. What you say about women safety in society at large is true and there is enough evidence that a lot needs to be done. But what Aamir Khan said was a gauged political statement having full understanding of the reaction to come. Mr. Aaamir Khan is no saint in his deeds and life, he has always used controversial statements to remain in lime light and promotion of his brand values. So your concern about women safety is genuine and every sane voice stands with you but please don't try to justify Aamir Khan in same lines for this will be untrue at every platform. Leave him out of this and leave us out of what Aamir said for he has already done enough damage.

What prevents them from learning and equipping to fight and fighting back, except attitudes of helplessness and spoon feeding.
Same goes for Indian women too. And Indian minorities, and Indian downtrodden.
Everyone wants some one else to come for their protection but refuse to lift their little finger in self defense although the Law says they all have a right of self defense.
W.r.t. women safety, I agree. We need a lot of reforms. But w r t Aamir he is a hypocrite. Earning thousands of crores with a mask in his films, real life he is different. Saw him with two of LeT men at Meccaa. Having done scientifically designed stone throw on satan, he questions us on our beliefs thro pk. We the rarest of rare people with a different dna applauded it only to be blamed intolerant. Will we reform ourselves? a big no and we will continue to be a slave to such men.
