Reservation ...not needed to few .... needed for most minorities.
by baman on Sep 15, 2014 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

Reservation based on low income group low income minority is the need of an hour.
Reservation in india has done a very good job as upliftment of minority which has been facing discrimination and poverty since generations.
However still many more people still need to get advantage of it. (few got it)
Reason being still majority of indian population lives in rural area ... and many of them are minorities...

One solution...
Yes... income based reservation....and ... also community based ... to some extent (Reducing the actual percentage)

General quota should be 70 % or more...

No reservation for anybody.but provide help/aids to get merits in education.Reform education system.
A person is not born out of his/her own desire in a particular caste or religion.
Hence can not be classified as "intellectually back ward"he can be economically backward but with less facility to develop but born with enough IQ.
so NO RESERVATION IN ANY FORM.

Poverty based reservation is needed
by Saul Pereira on Sep 15, 2014 12:36 PM

Dear sir, I agree with you that reservation should be based on the poverty line of the individual: they are the ones who deserve it. I am also of the opinion that reservation should be provided only for education and that seeking employment should be based on the merit. If we educate an individual, we are actually making them independent and self-sufficient. By reserving jobs too, we are only molly-coddling them.

Finally The Reasons Behind the 1991 2010's meltdowns are out here
by sriram rao on Sep 15, 2014 12:20 PM

1984's pandoras box busted in 1991's and 2000 slow downs
Need immediate attention by the Modi Govt
Finally The Reasons Behind the 1991 2010's meltdowns are out here in this article, there is a discrimination practice in the current community based reservation which will only recur the slowdown incidents in future due to injustice and discrimination to a section in the name of minority appeasement.

Reservation policy In India.
by Pradip Bhattacharjee on Sep 15, 2014 12:11 PM

It has been observed that Govt. has given reservation preferences in all stages like at the time of Admission to school,Collages Or Universities then for Jobs and Even during service for promotions etc. Which is in justice for the upper cast. If at all reservation to be continue.Preference should be given one in life time. That can be availed during admission / Appointment or during promotion.

caste based discrmination is a reality in India.
by Pavankumar Siddhi on Sep 15, 2014 12:10 PM  | Hide replies

what ever any one say, caste based discrimination is a reality in India. not only for the uneducated but for the persons who had good education and occupying good jobs would have faced this many times.

may be those who live in Metros may not face this but people in many other cities and towns also face this forget about villages.

may be people who get good education and good job can overcome this situation over few generations but others will face it.

if those people who enjoyed reservation for one or two generation give up the benefits of reservation then may be other needy people can get it.

or Government has to make it compulsory that if you are a government officer above a rank or if you are elected as MLA or above then your next generation should not get the reservation as you are already placed at some good position of the society.

Avoid Social Tension
by THANGAVELU on Sep 15, 2014 12:07 PM

Unless Govt initiatives taken keeping `inclusive growth' in mind, social tension is inevitable. Let us bridge the gap between `haves' and `have nots' in the design stage. Certain section of people feels suppressed in all respects. If they loose hope in the Government, Politics and Judiciary then their anger can be substantial.
