in this article author tries to poison the minds.. children are good because
1) they are pure joy
2) our life journey will not be complete without them
3) we will have somebody to share our joy or sorrow.
4) according to hindu philosophy it is essential that we have children to pay dept called "pitru runa"
5) world has enough space for lot more people if people are taught how to live in harmony with nature
6) even the pain we experience from them is part of life which builds our character..

i agree with the author what he says is the reality children more often give tensions and pain rather than happiness and fulfilment . we delude ourselves thinking that they will take care of us in our old age that doestglects the parents this is the harsh reality

Better Never To Have Been Born
by LG on Sep 14, 2014 08:52 PM

Left off this excellent list was the fact that it would have been better for all of us had we never existed, because then we would have never had to endure any pain or suffering. Having a child basically guarantees that child pain and suffering at some point in his/her life. Had one never existed one would have forgone that.

"Each one of us was harmed by being brought into existence. That harm is not negligible, because the quality of even the best lives is very bad - and considerably worse than most people recognize it to be. Although it is obviously too late to prevent our own existence, it is not to too late to prevent hte existence of future possible people. Procreation is therefore morally problematic." - David Benatar; Better Never to Have Been: The Harm of Coming into Existence.
