Shame, horror, shock: all are artificial, psychological devices to distance oneself, refuse participation, and reject responsibility for rape and for lack of effective solution. It is a Holier Than Thou attitude. They are unfortunate because they do not know of any other way to act.

Alternative to Capital Punishment.... yes there is one !
by satish KR on Aug 25, 2013 11:40 AM  | Hide replies

I am sure the current law enacated post delhi gangrape would not be sufficient deterrent, since these rapist care one hoot whatever punishment is meted to them.Only one possible solution is hit back at family members of the rapists, then these rapist will realise that there loved ones are also troubled as a consequence for their acts of heineous crime like rape.

If at all any laws need to be changed, it is better to enlarge the scope of women's right of self defense in such a way that anything that the women do and for as long as they want the law should treat it as self defense. Absolute immunity should be given to women in the matter of sexual assault.

However India is too backward to be able to do make such laws. It is better to find physical solutions without it.

That is not right Satish. Its more todo with up bringing of the person. Even doctors kids do murder, killing the parents will turn India like Afkhan. We need to move from this stage to a stage were womens are treated with respect. Just because men have sumthing he cnt go and put it everywhere. teach our kids that touching a man or women without their permission is act of shame.

Girls should not accept any restriction on clothing or other personal freedoms. Backwardness will not go away till people stop towing the lines laid down by others. Freedom is precious enough to justify taking the risk of disapproval of others while enjoying it. Not many Indians actually show any regard to their own personal freedoms, which is the reason the country does not progress much.

you cannot clap with one hand but you can snap with one hand.

All crimes are like snapping fingers. There is a perpetrator and there is a victim.

Manoj, how clothing will be matter. I am a MAN i dont support this that is their wish and their life how any B**TD can suggest them wat to wear? I will tell my son touching any girl without the her permission and acceptance is a death crime. This is the only solution. If all the parents does that the we will solve this problem.

Safety comes out of the barrel of a gun or something of the same use. It is not possible to be safe while at the same time being incapable of dealing with an attack.

Rape and dress code

The way females dress has changed over the years, possibly another reason in encouraging rapists?

Women have to get rid of being weak and vulnerable. They have to show extreme aggression and strength in all matters in public as well as private.

Aggressive and offensive self defense is the best solution. Training, equipment, practice, legal discussions, mock attacks, electronic mechanical and chemical devices, etc., can be arranged like a business if enough people are willing to take them and share the costs.

Apart from killing or injuring rapists, the purpose of self defense is for the victims to feel satisfied with their own strength. It is good for the country if female victims obtain satisfaction without having to be fed into the almost totally corrupt criminal justice system as weak and vulnerable parties that are easy to prey upon. There is no justification for anyone to pretend to be unaware of the hazards of living in India and for girls to be brought up unprepared to attack their attackers.

Girls ought to help themselves by their own actions, and prove once and for all that they are not dependent, weak, vulnerable and incapable of achieving satisfaction and self respect.

The backward society Indian cannot progress if girls are unwilling to come out on top in a high fighting spirit.

Death penalty on the spot with high success rate, not by dragging the matter through legal procedures for several decades with till now absolute zero success rate. Law gives women the right but they are accessories to their own rape by not preparing themselves well in advance to make use of the law when the event actually happens.

Deception and diversion are legitimate techniques for fighting the political war in a backward democracy. It is not possible to have a clean war. It is better to fight dirty than to pretend and be a hypocrite.

who told the girl to go to such a dangerous place of old broken building? Why she could not go with a group? Why they did not alert local police before going there? Did they take permission from administration ? To invite trouble? Even I dare not go to a closed mill campus.I doubt what was objective of the boy and the girl to go to such isolated place as a couple.I think they did not expect the drug addicts to be there.

Same like Delhi case, boys invite trouble for their girlfriends_by moving late night or in lonely places.Even in Guwahati molestation_case,the girl_fought with boys in beer bar which led to the trouble. Same case in Latehar_why the police_woman need to travel in midnight with a dead_Body?

Saabdhani_Hati_Durghatana_Ghati.

Safety first.Do not invite trouble. Please do_not expect drunkards_or drug_addicts or criminals_to control their carnel_desires.They are outlaw_! Donot take such dangerous risk.

It is important to act provocatively and to create a risk, otherwise the so called personal freedom remains unreal, imaginary and fictitious. Girls should enter risky places without hesitation, but they must prepare themselves to fight very well in case they are attacked. Freedom is more important than the so called honor of a backward society, and cannot be obtained if it is not tested it all the time. However no one has a right to create more work for the public authorities such as police. Any problem that the girls create should be solved effectively by themselves but without surrendering any of their freedoms. They have to fight and fight well.

In the first place the owners of this property should be punished or hanged for negligence in keeping their estate safe. Then only you can think of any other culprits.

There are old mills that got stopped and then some legal process started due to disputes with employees etc. The original owners are safe behind the barriers of ongoing legal processes. In fact at some places the police is guarding them to prevent anyone from interfering with the custody before the courts decide, which is not guaranteed to happen within any finite time limit. Moreover no one owns ancient ruins, which is a similar situation.

There is no easy prevention but one solution is to make women strong both individually and through a friendly group. There is also a matter of self respect, which gets hurt if women permanently avoid taking risks.
